I'm in my 35th year of association. What i do is get the team beastly, win a championship, then quit and go to another horrible team, and do the same thing over again. So far I've won championships with:
T'wolves
Kings
Lakers
Nuggets
Nets
Bobcats
I usually start out with a "win in 3 years" mentality. Although the Lakers screwed it up & took 10 years to win. Usually i start out by trading all players with contracts over 1 year, unless they have a rating in the 90s, to get a lot of expiring contracts. Then, i wait until the trade deadline, and look at who is worst in the league. Then, i trade 2nd round & future 1st round picks for their 1sts, which surprisingly they always agree to. I do this with multiple teams, usually the worst 9-10 in the league, that way I'm assured a great pick. Then, i wait until the draft & pick up every franchise player there, develop them, & then i end up winning the title in 1-2 years.
Anybody else do this?
Also, sometimes i waive a great player when i'm ready to leave, & then pick them up on the next team for like 500k a year.
