Im still trying to figure out why 2k cant make a game right so they dont need a patch the first week the game is out. I mean come on dont they test the product out before thay ship it????? Does anyone remember MLB 2K8 we went a good month before thay would fix some of the problems.

Whilst IMO Prizefighter is glitchier and less polished than most games released these days, it's not solely a 2k thing to release a game that requires a patch in the first week, 99.84% of PC games need patches and the majority of Xbox 360 games need patches, the difference is that not all console games actually get the patches they need, Fifa08 for example got one update which fixed a couple of bugs but there is still at least 1 easily re-creatable bug which completely locks up the 360 every time requiring a console restart, they know about it but they never bothered patching it.......

THis is what happens. WHen they put a game through QA testing, there are what maybe 10-20 people that test the game. WHen you release it to the general public you have thousands and thousands of people that play the game. Each one thinking of ways to find exploits and glitches. Its like the old saying goes. 2 heads are better then 1.
If you think back to pretty much all sports game, there's something wrong with just about every one. Maybe not all, i know there is going to be someone to say so and so was perfect. Anyways, thats the reason. With how consoles are now, they have the ability to put out an update to fix whats wrong.

If the 10-20 that QA'd Prizefighter didn't pick up on the awful collision detection they need replacing ;)

Come on now, everyone knew that. Even Ronnie said there was problems with collision detection. I am not talking about that part. I am talking about people finding ways to cheese online with body jabs to win rounds or whatever. Take FN with the Parrying. Take Madden with the quarterbacks having a mind of his own or the player going though the wall and into the stands. Take NFL2k5 with the DT glitch or the drop glitch. I am talking about that crap.
Seriously man, your bs is getting old.

Doesnt matter, yoru still going to find problems wrong with sports games. ITs going to happen. When FN comes out, your going to find glitches and stuff thats not right in that game. Its going to happen.

2K please listen. Patch the game for the commentary skipping, game freezes and hit detection and the game will be better the Fight Night.

Well, it's a contact sport where precision is essential. Dodgy commentary is noticeable, but hardly game-breaking, maybe the occasional AI glitch - that's easy to miss, but collision detection?
That's pretty much the raison de etre for a boxing game's success! To have put it out while that was still malfunctioning just suggests a lack of time and care. The team looks to be pretty small as well for the time they produced it in, further underlining my belief this is just an upgraded Rocky engine.
I think there's an excellent game in there, smothered beneath the chronic misengineering. The footspeed has been engineered to hide the flaws in the fighting mechanic so that it's impossible to get out of trouble, the stamina has been angineered to overlook the flaws in the defence mechanic and fight in your preferred style.
This cannot be denied. Also, the story mode sucks.

You guys have to be agree: there aren't any huge exploits in this game or strategies that undeniably lead you to victory. I think that's a pretty good accomplishment.

Not really when the game doesn't actually work - you may not be able to exploit it, but that's because you're just praying you can either a) get a punch off or b) get it to land.
