View Full Version : Can Someone With 2 Controllers Do a Test?

Valderez(mod) did a test with hooks and said the game only registered 50% of his landed hooks. I was wondering how the game tracks the rest of the punches.
Here's what someone could do, it wouldn't take long. Set up a 2 player local game with 2 controllers where no one is controlling the other fighter and do 1 rd 3 min's long and throw 10 hooks, 10 jabs, 10 straights and see if the game tracks the amount of punches correctly and the landing percentage correctly at the end of the fight. You should get 30 punches thrown and a landing percentage of 100%.
There is definetly something screwy with the scoring at times, maybe it's just with the hooks. Thanks in advance.

Dude already did some serious labbing. For some reason the game sees twice as many power punches as you throw. I set 2 player match the check differences between powers shots and jabs and threw 20 jabs from boxer 1 and 20 hooks from boxer 2 fight was a draw and the game said I threw 40 hooks with a 50% hit rate. This is pretty bad. I have another post on xbox.com in the prizefight forum there about the scoring system(SCORING SYSTEM BROKEN!!! ONLINE & OFF) . FN3"s scoring is better And I go into detail there. The game has a lot of good ideas and I like it as much as I do fight night it is strong is areas where FN is weak but it looks like they gave the playtester's money to Don King

Yea, I know it's broken and it's ironic Immortal Ace is here. First Ace get your Sig straight, I'm AwYea(17# ranked) and you beat me once just a little while ago which brought up my topic. I played and beat ELMATADOR904(who was ranked 5th or 6th at the time) in a 12 rd fight that wasn't cheese after you and haven't played since.
Anyway I clearly outboxed Ace and landed more punches using a variety of punches and the game gave him the win and the punch totals were WACK! He threw nothing but a jab and it had him landing like 60 more punches in the fight.
Ace only fights with a custom cheese boxer maxed out with stamania and dexterity. He REFUSES TO USE ANYTHING ELSE. The first time I met him online was yesteday, he backed out when he seen I had a heavy weight custom boxer set up this way, so I try to get in another match and it's him again at lightweight with another custom boxer set up like this so I back out because I didn't have one for this weight class. Then he has the nerve to message me and ask if I'm scared.
Then he messages me today talking crap about his win and I say that's okay we will meet again and he says"No we want I already beat you twice."

One, BS:
I beat you twice. Once today and once before either two days ago or three. I'm not sure. Second, I never fight in the heavyweight class. I remember vividly you complaining because I was using a custom boxer the first time around. The second time around you used your SRL with the EXACT same stats. And got beat again. You're right, I did send you that message. I beat you twice, why should I give you a third rematch?
Also, yes, congrats. You're ranked higher now than when I beat you the first time. If you want me to edit your rank I'll be more than happy to do it. I makes me look better.

Okay, you are right, that was another screwed up score but you didn't message some BS after that one so I didn't know it was you.
I'm not begging for a rematch, you messaged me bragging and I said that's alright we'll get matched up again and fight again and you said"No we want I done beat you twice."

Well back on topic, I messed around with the cpu and came up with this based on 10 punches.
Jabs and Straights- If you throw and land 10 jabs or straights the punch totals will show it properly but for whatever reason every now and then it will add 1 to your punch total and subtract 1 from landed. Instead of getting 10/10 you get 11/9.
Hooks and Uppercuts- If you throw and land 10 out of 10 with either it will give you 20 out of 10. It doubles your punch total but it keeps an accurate count on the punches landed, but if you land five out of 10 it gives you something like 5 out of 15.
If the game scores at all on punch percentage you're basically screwing yourself throwing anything besides a jab or straight.
It would be nice to get an official response from the developers on why it does this with hooks and uppercuts and if it effects how fights are scored. IMO, there are instances where accurate punch totals are just not kept by the game. I don't know if it can be patched or it's just lag.

Dude, it is not lag. I got screwed up punch counts in an offline game> This is not right. I also did a test with FN3 and not only are the punch totals accurate you also get extra credit for land power punches. I won a 4 rd fight where mt opponent landed over 200 jabs/crosses and I landed only 83 uppercuts. The scoring in Fn seems to be much more realistic.
