I just received Top Spin 3 for Wii and it's realy bothering me that it seems to be impossible to play left handed. Or is it my fault and have I missed something?

Other issue; am I right? Do I realy have to use the joystick on the nunchuck to adjust the direction of the ball? On a Wii ? I should say it would be possible that on Wii, the game should be able to 'see' what i'm doing?

I read on the web, that it's possible to create your own player with their own skills.
As far as I can see, it's not on option on the Wii.

As said, perhaps I did not read the manual carefully enough but otherwise......... Top Spin 3 is disappointing me.
If this is what everybody is waiting for, i'm afraid many will be disappointing too.

That's very disappointing about not being able to play left handed. I'm left handed and have been looking forward to this game, I didn't think 2K Sports would overlook something like this.

2k Sports seems to aim on the 'fast money' Doctor.
Being the first to release a good tennis game on Wii could make a lot of money.
And in their rush, they did not realise there is a difference between playing with a 'button box' in your two hands and playing as in a simulator like the Wii.
I'm glad I could return the game to my reseller.

I'm glad I could return the game to my reseller.

Mine has yet to arrive but looks like I may be doing the same.

Here are my problems with the WII version of this game:
It's not in Dutch, like said on the box
You can't create your own player, like said on the websites and in the videos.
And there is no option to take lessons, like seen in the videos

I'm just gonna log out of this website, shut off te pc and return the game to my reseller.

Where is the false advertisement? Here are the features for the Wii version:
Complete Wii Functionality – Through the Wii Remote™, a player’s forehands, backhands and serves are perfectly mirrored by the game’s realistic swing motions.

Play With and Against Real Stars – The only full-packaged tennis game on the Wii™ featuring 16 licensed players on 10 real-world venues such as Roland Garros, the U.S. Open® and the Australian Open.

Fun Party Games – Hilarious mini-games for single and multi-players are a blast while improving your technique. With four difficulty settings, everyone can be part of the action!

Easy to ‘Pick up & Play’ – Intuitive controls that feel exactly like swinging a racquet and up to 10 in-game tutorials make it easy for gamers of all skill levels to master.

Embark on the Road to Glory Mode – Fully immerse yourself in an ambitious career mode that mimics a player’s rise through the ranks through 11 challenging tournament events.

New Split-Screen Mode – Invite your friends over and experience FULL WIDE screen action with single or doubles and up to four different players.

I see nothing in there saying that the Wii version would have character creation, or online play, or Nadal. So please, show me where the false advertisement is.

Check here as an example: Bol.com (http://www.nl.bol.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/nl/-/EUR/BOL_DisplayProductInformation-Secondary?BOL_OWNER_ID=1004004005853487&Section=GAMES&sec_Page=Beschrijving&ContentType=DESCRIPTION)

I asume you can not read Dutch so I translate a part.

In Dutch: "Bovendien is het mogelijk je eigen tennisspeler te maken."
In English: "It's also posible to create your own tennisplayer"

In Dutch: "Top Spin 3 is net als zijn voorgangers een tennissimulator"
In english: "Just as in earlier version, Top Spin 3 is a tennissimulator"
Strange simulator if you can not play left handed.

In all advertising they talk about the great critics of the game on other platforms. So they build expectations and for this reason many people where looking forward to this game. Now we know better and we have to wait for a better product.

the problem is that there is no interview or *small print to tell the consumer that hey although 360 and ps3 has this feature, wii does not.

Wii advertising and interviews dance around features so the user isn't quite sure whats in the box till they get it home and go awwww #($Q@#@ i just wasted more money.

Shame they don't at least have the decency to address the issue......
