I think the most shocking moment in boxing history was the ko of Micheal Moorer by George Foreman. I remember watching this fight and thinking "this is kinda sad watching this old guy get beat up". I mean Moorer was landing at will, and basically doing whatever he wanted against Foreman. Then it happened. Foreman landed a jab, and a straight right hand behind it, Moorer looked fine, then Foreman landed again with the same puch sequence, and Moorer was out. What a knockout, it took me a while to realize what I had just seen.

I would put the Tarver ko of Jones in my top spot, but some people saw it comin. I for one, did NOT. Probably because I'm a diehard fan of Jones. I remember reading an interview with Floyd Mayweather(who was waiting for jones to slip enough for him to steal the top p4p ranking), and Mayweather saying he knew Jones days were numbered as a top fighter during the Ruiz fight. He said soon after the fight started, he noticed Jones' legs were gone, and was slowing down a bit. That being said no one knew Jones fall from the top would happen so quickly, and in such devastating fashion.

I would say Douglas KOing Tyson, or Tyson's infamous ear bite against Holyfield.

I think Tarver knocking out Jones is probably it for this decade.

2000s: Tarver knocking out Jones
1990s: Douglas stopping tyson or Taylor-Chavez
1980s: Hagler-Hearns being such a great fight?
1970s: Ali stopping foreman
1960s: Sonny Liston knocking out Patterson in 1 twice
1950s: Whole mafia scandal
1940s: ?
1930s: Henry Armstrong's 27 knockstreak and him becoming a 3 weight class world champion...at the same time.
1920s: Tunney beating Jack Dempsey
1910s: Jack Johnson being jack johnson
1900s: James Jeffries beating James Corbett

I'd definitely say Douglas beating Tyson. No one gave Douglas even a remote chance and yet he won. Unbelievable.

Do you know what the Foreman-Moorer odds were? Just wondering. They had to of been in Moorer's favor by a wide margin, because of the fact Moorer had jus previously beaten Holyfield.

I don't think they were anything close to 42-1 or even 25-1 (Holyfield-Tyson 1)

It wasn't just that he won, it is how he won. He controlled the fight, got up after a knockdown, and knocked Tyson out. Everyone was questioning his heart, and he was dealing with a death in the family. He fought the fight of his life.
