I've heard that Randy Hahn and Drew Remenda will be the announcers for NHL 2K9. This is so awesome! Hopefully this is true. Is there an official confirmation of this?

There has been nothing official released about who the announcers will be. Anything you hear will be pure speculation until an official announcement is made.

I really hope they keep Harry Neal and Bob Cole. As a Leaf fan, they're the perfect announcers. It's makes me feel like I'am watching Hockey Night in Canada.

I'm a canucks fan, and i'm pretty sure it was Cole and Neal in 94. And Neal was head coach of the Canucks for most of the 82 season that they went to the Finals (actually quite a bit bigger of a story than the 82 kings which are in the game and shouldn't be over the 82 Canucks at all, Canucks were under .500 and made it to the cup finals, Kings had one comeback against a team that obviously choked) and what i did, espescially on 2k6 was put the hockey night in canada theme music on the XBOX and make it the menu music. Its awesome, please if anyone does it tho, remember who did it first at least. I'd hate to see someone one day sayin they came up with this idea and i know they didn't like lol.

I'm a Sharks fan and haven't heard the slighest rumor about Randy and Drew. You should provide a link to where you heard this rumor. Also, i think It was on Powerplay 98 for the psx that had Randy as one of the announcers. Could be wrong though.

You mean that podcast link given on the hf-board? I see that link is broken. The show is archived in peaces to be found here. (http://ondemand.rawlco.com/shows/drew-remenda/all?page=1)
I don't have sound where I'm typing this at the moment, so I can't check it out. I think you have to recompile the mark given by UAL-Kingpin (1:17 to 1:20) beginning from the bottomost May 1st show, so it should be in the 'NHL playoffs, Open Lines' part.
