Thats it I'm trading in the game, (I Tried,,, This game dose not work. I have 90 Online Ranked Wins and NO Achievement for 15, 35 or 50, and it took 20 Ranked wins to get the one for 5. The Achievements do not work in this game and other Achievement's did not work for me either, This whole game has Problems, Audio Skipping and Problems, Problems. This is actually the first 2K Sports game I bought, I have played some of their games like a rent or demo, But this is the first one I bought and really tried to beat because I'm a Boxing Fan. I like this game a lot I think it has the best Career Mode Ever, And the Online play is nice, The game just works like Carp. How could 2K a Major Game Developer put this game out with these BUGS!. You can see they put so much time and effort in to this Game, with the Live Action Career Mode & Everything else, So why would they not make sure everything worked before it went to print. I did not like a lot of things about 2K Sports Major Competitors Game EA, but at lease their game worked. 2K had a great game here they really did, they just could not make it or did not know how to with out Bugs & Glitches. I used to hear, real fans of Football & Basketball say how much better 2K's sports games were, so I could not wait for a Boxing from 2k to see for myself, now I'm starting think otherwise

Can't stand basketball in any way, shape or form! For me the two best 2k games are Top Spin 3 and MLB2k8, I guess it helps I'm only a very casual fan of those two sports, unlike boxing where I'm a hardcore fan of 23 years and counting :)

2 ways a game can come out with major flaws

1. Their q/a testing is flawed. ie; they hire un-qualified people to test games, or their testers are lazy. A lot of game companys that I have researched in the past have brand new straight out of Tafe/Uni programmers as their testers or just a bunch of amature gamers. Good for the person trying to get into the industry, and for gamers wanting an early go at a game, also cheap for the company but not good for a proper q/a session. This testing generally is off the cuff testing. Meaning you play the game, and report anything you find that doesnt look right. In my experiance, 99% of off-the cuff tested systems, fail miserably.

2. The testers found bugs which were reported, but the project management / Lead designer decided hitting his deadline was more important than producing a top quality game. This is generally decided as a risk managment practise. "If we send it out in its current form, what will the fall be? Is it worth spending more money on fixing? or just releasing it and hoping the rest of the bells and whistles is enough to placate users".
Could also be a funding issue.

Retro, most of the issues (including achievs) has been reported. Why not wait to see if they're going to patch those issues before making your final decision?

Don't hold out for a patch from 2KSports. They come late if ever. Plus, let's be honest - console games are not supposed to need the kind of serious patches that PC games do.

And it's not like they had to rush this out to make the start of the boxing season. I like boxing, but the prime season for boxing ended almost 20 years ago. They could have delayed the game so that it at least worked before releasing it.

This game is nowhere near the state of “not that bad” – it’s broken in almost every conceivable way. Collision detection, physics, instancing, audio, animation, controls, textures, modelling and online functionality are utterly awful.

It’s been a long time since I played something so shabby – I am so glad I rented it, what a waste of £40 this could have been. At least it was only £6 and a wasted couple of evenings fighting with it’s terrible design.

Venom should be moved on: their track record on punching games is horrendous. The simple fact that you need to find the one tactic that works for each opponent then rinse and repeat is entirely counter-intuitive to the nature of boxing and adapting.

You can just bully your way in close, fire bodyshots and win EVERYTIME. The defence is still “you need to learn how to play it” which pretty much proves my point: it allows no flexibility and forces you to fight one way only.

first off i'll let it be known that i am huge 2k fan, however, this game has angered me for the last time, i'm with flux and i am so glad i only rented this game because it sucks! so many things wrong with it i don't know where to start...i'm on a fight right now in my career mode that the cpu cheats and puts stuff on his glove wtf? since when did a computer need to cheat? secondly, the audio goes in and out. 2k you have disappointed me very very much so, and i'm returning this game as soon as i get done posting this, take the time to make a game properly, look and see how many people are complaining at this game, this can't be good for the rep, top spin 3 better make up for this so called "boxing game", i've never been a fan of don king and this sure isn't helping matters, i think you owe everyone an apology for wasting our time and money, lets make the stats realistic and lets not have the cpu cheat how bout that, thanks for wasting my time

2k8 Baseball aint bad @ all! BUT 2KSPORTS NEEDS TO FIRE THE GUY IN THE CREDITS WHO DID THE COLLISION DETECTION ON PRIZE FIGHTER!!!!!!!!! HE MUST HAVE BEEN HIGH OR EITHER HE JUST CANT FIGHT FOR REAL!!!!!!!

I've been saying it for years. The only game that 2k makes good is nba2k. But any other sport, i dont even bother to buy or even rent it. I only buy nba games from 2k. Fight Night round 3 is by far better than this crap. And that came out 2 years ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2k sucks. They just make good nba games.

I have finally given up on this trashy game...okay im playin a career mode fight and im beatin da mess out of this dude but while im landed the punches his energy isnt moving and mine dropped in a matter of second while he only landed one punch im like what the heck....then at the end of the fight, i lost due to my landed blows effecting me as if i was punching myself he landed maybe 8 and the stats say he threw just as many as me as well as landed but aint no way enway have fun to the ones that luv it i jus cant do this game i have tried n tried but this was a wasted 60bucks hope u enjoyed the money u made 2k from this trash and this game is not close to realistic...it dont matter what style of boxing u use if ur guy has better footwork cause unlike nba2kl where the ratings actually shows in the game every boxer in this title is the same just throw punches and hope u land the bigger hit before ur opp that take 70% health away and then finish him off

you're probably throwing weak punches....keep ya eye on the stamina bar buddy. the lesser the gauge the weaker the punch....
