I'de say using it more than 4-5 times a game is abuse. I TRY to limit myself to a few a game because they are so easy to do. But thats just me.

The whole reason for my post about banning the Double moves with a route god receiver is because some people want to ban some things that work against a zone defense because the just guard the middle of the field and dont want you to attack the corners or sidelines where it is usually weak at. I have no problem with any routes I was just making a sarcastic comment.

Can someone clarify this to me. The ban is on for slants? Does this mean we'd have to check for man every single time. Opps, dang he was in zone. This sounds like situational banning and you can't do that. Chime in on this it will determine my team build and how fast i can join.

i think the confusion with routes is this, a fade is different than a regular go route, tubo i think you can call a go route(streak) all day without any problem, the problematic route is the fade a.k.a the florida fade, danny wuerfeel won his heisman due to this route, it is the route where you run a 2 step slant and then streak, for some reason the cpu corners will watch you while you make this move, and then try to play catchup, that is why it is considered unsim, as there is no real fix to this.

I try to not use that route because people cry about it but I will tell you there are people who sit in a zone not sure if its 2 hard or 2 soft and thats basically the only pass you will complete on them. If you take it away they will just camp in it all game long. Its not hard to adjust to someone throwing the quick corner and take it away. Usually for a pick 6.

I just dont understand how someone complains about Quick outs, or a hot route fade when all they do is sit in a ****in zone all game long and never man the CB on the strong side of the field at all. This to me seems like we are catering to some peoples style of play.

Why should I or anyone else have to be limited to throwing in the middle because someone doesn't want to put a safety over top on the fade streak route or man up the CB on the strong side of the field? Please explain if we are catering to someone's special needs here. I don't have a problem playing this way because I will play smash mouth ball and use a Gold RB along with TE's and the run the ball up his ***. I am so tired of people not wanting to change there personal, the defensive play calling, and other things and expect us to play within what he feels comfortable playing against.

All I ask for is fair play and some decent guidelines (4th downs, etc.)

When you punt the ball you are doing this very short punt with browner waiting and I couldn't stop my Return man from going to the ball on his knees and letting it hit off him while you had Browner pick it up and run back the other way. Same on your kickoffs every time it was wobbly and to the sideline like you totally messed up on your kickoff but your kicks and punts were both exactly the same. I just want to know if you try and kick like this or do you not know how to kick or punt right? Your kickoffs would hit towards the sideline than ricochet back towards field of play and my guy would be downed at like the 15. Just wondering if there is a secret to doing this so I could next time ;)

Well you know my feelings about numbski, so I don't really need to touch on that subject.....But I agree, a full half of football left, you should either replay the entire game, or if Numbski wants, play one half of football

Well, a few things.

1. I'm afraid to play you again. My DB's were behaving as though they might not have ridden on the short bus to the stadium. I'm afraid to see them go back to slobbering on themselves.

2. No trick. I just use the stick and kick directionally. So far as "short punts" - that's as hard and far as I know how to punt. I just figured that was a generic punter problem. Browner - well...um...I keep warning people about his footsteps, but they don't listen. It's not a fluke that it happened. I used to think so, but it's consistenly happening once or more per game for me with him on special teams. He and Cherry make for a special teams nightmare tag-teaming punt returners.

I'm half-inclined to forfeit just so I can have fond memories that the defensive backs in this game can, very rarely mind you, behave as though they have a clue in life.

I'll play it again - I just think I know how it's going to turn out. That's just the way my luck is. I'm heading to swim laps, and then make dinner - and well - tonight is just shot. Tomorrow afternoon my wife has her company picnic. If I ask nicely I might be able to get a game in tomorrow night before bed, otherwise it'll be Sat before I can give it another go.

For the sake of being fair though - I really, REALLY thought you were going to go for a QB Sneak on the goalline. I completely, utterly sold out on the sneak, and you dropped back instead. If you had seen my defensive alignment from my side, you would have known how ludicrously stacked I made the middle, and I added my deep Strong Safety up the middle just for good measure in a last-ditch effort to keep you out. That was NOT a planned sack. I was just hoping to keep the QB from getting the easy 6. :(

Anyway, that's how I got through with Wilcox. 2 Strong Safeties, each covering a gap either side of the center, and Wilcox standing right behind the center to meet your QB in mid-air. When it didn't happen, Anderson and Browner blew a huge hole in the line and Wilcox is pretty much like "oh, thanks...easy sack". I couldn't do that again if I tried.

Generally speaking, yes. That last drop was a heartbreaker. Wide open doesn't say it. That said - I had as many drops as catches if you can believe it. It's just that the sheer quantity of plays added up.

EDIT - I meant on my throws to generics, not in general. You shut down Moore and Okoye pretty well - the generics had to pick up the slack.

LOL. Get real. You'd do your weak Bump-Man all day. So, I'd get Rice off the line. He'd completely stop, and then run right by your DB.

I'd run a fade route with your guy on the LOS. You really think he's not going to get burnt? With no safety help over the top? Get real.

Learn to adjust. Getting the receiver off the line, kills bump coverage. Teams do this in the NFL all the time. Either play zone, or normal man or when I do this *shock* get him off the bump?!!!!

I hate when people use one play/strategy all game, then get burnt by it, and call it an glitch. Learn to adjust!!!!

Ok why are you taking his side. He was GLITCHING. its a glitch its not strategy. It was working then he started doing this when his players couldnt get off the line. i know how to play defense. My defense has been working the past 20 games i played with this team. I been playing mostly man - man with some zone and its been working i have been winning and then when he comes and does this glitch it doesnt work anymore. If he doesnt want his players to be bumped than get bump buster dont try and glitch because ben coates and jerry rice are being throw to the ground when they try and run there routes.

No you dont understand what he was doing. He was motioning. He was putting his guy in motion and as soon as he took his step backwards before he would run across the field he would hike the ball. So my cornerback would be basically be getting ready to follow him and then the receiver would be wide open because of the flaw in the AI. You know how when you play man the cornerback basically starts running across the field well he was getting ready to do that and then my cornerback would just stand there doing nothing.
