well if you've been on their site you can see al of the things they claim to have, chracter maker online play, the two things i was looking forward to, werent on there. they even flat out said it on their advertising the game. so when i bought it for 50 dollars i was looking ofrward it to be dissapointed, who else agrees with me?

I kind of knew they weren't going to have online because, despite all of their promises, their Wii descriptions didn't indicate they would have it. HOWEVER, they didn't make it clear that it would not have it. Quite frankly, they intentionally hid the Wii version's limitations. I would even go so far as to say they decieved us.

I REALLY wanted 2K Sports to be a cool company because I can't stand EA Sports and their arrogance. However, 2K Sports is worse than arrogant, they are borderline dishonest.

I agree with really trying hard to like 2k8. I've supported them on the their hockey games until this year.

for the wii... they don't tell you what isn't in the game, they just dance around what 360 and PS3 have and leave wii out. so you have to assume whats in there and get screwed when you get home with the game. i know alot of folks will say thats your fault and oh you have the crappy wii , but i don't understand why a developer wouldn't want to take the control scheme of the wii and use it to make awesome sports games! stop with the crappy wii games already!!! ahhhhHH!

they did the same with mlb 2k8 for wii. Sounds like a great game, but when I get it home.... those interviews I read before it was released were not quite true!

Fellas, this is in the Q&A which is stickied in the main Top Spin 3 forums. The producer said that there would not be online features for the Wii.

i'm not talking about the online feature.

BUT, no one should have to be Sherlock to figure out what features are in the game or not. things aren't always clear and they do this on purpose.

The gaming industry has gotten exceedingly dishonest and unethical about its business and marketing practices. EA has been really bad for a while. Now 2K? A company that I've looked up to for years as being a beacon of honesty in a progressively slimy business has gone the way of EA? WTF? They are all worse con men than used car salesmen. This needs to stop. Someone should start suing for this garbage. Really. They do things that would never fly in any other industry because video gaming isn't taken seriously enough to actually receive any consequences. What would happen if the movie industry did the same thing? What would happen if they suddenly started half-assing regular DVD movies when Blue-Ray came out? Same title...same cost...but when you get home you realize that your regular DVD version of "Gladiator" stars Rob Schneider, was directed by Ewe Boll, and has the last half an hour of the movie just omitted. Consumers would be ****ed...and rightly so.

ok so i played the game, and its god awful!

1. no difficulty settings

2. road to glory.....tournament (events) mode .... can't see the bracket or anything. you just play the next person and can't see who else is in the tournament(event). the events are as follows: speedy event, classical, final square, 2 x 4 , male vs female, survival, grand slams and the great league.

it seems as if you have to play them in order to get to the next one. which would be fine if they were normal tournaments. instead they put in gimmicky events.

3. Wii controls are horrible, does not use wii controls as they should.

this is a sad attempt, very very sad. 2k should be proud of themselves for making profits on something that belongs in the bargain bin.

I have had the game since day one. I have played for a total of about 2 hours. I liked nothing about it. But the trade in value is so low, it's not worth trading in. It's like $14 store credit. Sad.

I had a similar experience. Before I bought the game I checked on the web, including the official site at http://www.topspin3thegame.com/US/. And it stated it had an online play feature. Only after I bought the game and tried it I found out it was lacking the online feature (along with some other features that were mentioned on the site). This is pure deceipt if you ask me. The first and last game I bought from 2ks, that's for sure.
