**To start off with I am starting a franchise with the Chicago Bulls and have created only four rookies from the 2008-2009 draft. The four rookies are Derrick Rose, OJ Mayo, Michael Beasley, and Eric Gordon. I will be playing with the Chicago Bulls, of course, and the roster will be the same as the last update given by Xbox Live, except for the addition of Derrick Rose. So the rosters are updated as of last season.**

Reporter: What is the mood in the locker room heading into the new season?
Del Negro: Well the player's morales and attitudes have been very positive and uplifting. Their attitudes are helping make my job much easier. They are starting to really learn how to be productive in my new established offense and defense.
Reporter: What is your outlook for the 2008 Chicago Bulls? Are we talking about playoffs, no playoffs, championship run, or what?
Del Negro: Well, only time will tell what this team has in store. But I can see this team making a deep championship run with all the hunger that they have showed in practice and in the locker room. They are indeed, very young, but they are willing to do whatever it takes to chase an NBA Championship. And, if they start to show that they are not willing to conform into my strategy and how I will run things, then they will be traded or dealt with by management.
Reporter: How has the newest addition Derrick Rose impacted the team so far?
Del Negro: Derrick, first of all, is great. He is already implementing his leadership and abilities to the team's chemistry. He is well beyond his years in ability and leadership. He is as new to this team as I am and we are helping each other grow together with the Bulls.
Reporter: When can we expect the starting lineups to be announced?
Del Negro: The starting lineups will be announced the day before the first game of the season. The players are still being evaluated day-to-day. The coaching staff is so impressed by all the players work ethic and attitudes. That is all the time I have for today thank you!

Steven A. Smith: I would like to report that the rumors of the Bulls trading Larry Hughes are true. They have just agreed with the 76er's on a major deal, this is pending league approval, or course. This is the deal, it consist of six players and one draft pick:
The Chicago Bulls Receive:
Center: Samuel Dalembert
http://www.nba.com/media/playerfile/samuel_dalembert.jpg
Point Guard: LouisWilliams
http://www.nba.com/media/playerfile/louis_williams.jpg
Small Forward: Thaddeus Young

The Philadelphia 76er's Receive:

Power Forward: Drew Gooden

2009 Second Round Pick
http://www.espnmediazone.com/bios/Talent/images/Smith_Stephen_A.JPG
Steven A. Smith:
Bulls Trade Evaluation:
This trade really helps the Bulls get much bigger up front. They give away an "career unachieved player" in Drew Gooden and a slow developing Cedric Simmons for a low-post defensive presence in Samuel Dalembert.
I also like the decision to move Larry Hughes. The Bulls were already deep enough at the shooting guard postion with Thabo Sefolosha, Ben Gordon, Shannon Brown, and possibly Kirk Hinrich if Derrick Rose gets the start at point guard. They also got a freakish athlete in Thaddeus Young and a position they needed to add depth to in the point guard spot, which is where Louis Williams comes in to play.
76er's Trade Evaluation:
I don't know what the 76er's were thinking with this trade. They received an overpaid guard in Hughes and lost the only big man with credibility on the roster! I also hate the decision to give up two young and promising players like Thaddeus Young and Louis Williams. I hope this trade works out for the Sixer's better than I think it will.

Bill Walton's Game Preview: This is going to be an exciting opening night match-up. This game features the number one draft pick, Derrick Rose, playing in his first ever NBA game. It also features the newly acquired Samuel Dalembert, Louis Williams, and Thaddeus Young on the Bulls. Vince Carter will have to have his team ready to try and beat a hungry-young Bulls team. I pick the Bulls in a close victory!

Bill Walton: This is going to be an exciting game for Derrick Rose. He will get a great first test in Devin Harris. Watch Harris try and attack Rose early to test his NBA defense and welcome him to the NBA.

Jordan Brand Player of the Game:

Vince Carter: 20 points 2 rebounds, 8-15 field goals
Devin Harris: 16 points, 8 assists, 2 turnovers
Bill Walton's Final Takes: The Bull's were extremely impressive tonight. There was not a single dominating player, but, they still won with a great all-around team effort. This is the way that coach Del Negro hopes they will play all season. Derrick Rose came out here and gave a great performance. He did not come out and try to force a lot of shots or passes and he played spectacular. Next the Bulls will play the Philadelphia 76er's at home.

Bill Walton's Game Preview: After coming off a win in game one on the road, I expect the Bulls to beat the 76er's on their home court. This is the first home game of the season for the Bulls and they do not want to disappoint their fans. There is a spark in the air in Chicago and it is all because of rookie-sensation Derrick Rose. He has given the town a reason to like basketball once again. I expect the Bulls to win pretty easily tonight.

PG: Derrick Rose
Bill Walton: This is the first true veteran that Rose will go up against. Miller is a crafty and smart veteran guard who knows all the ins-and-outs of the NBA game. This will be a true challenge for both guards to guard each other.

Larry Hughes: 14 points 4 rebounds (First game back in Chicago since trade)
Andre Miller: 19 points, 9 assists, 6 rebounds
Andre Iguodala: 20 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists
Bill Walton's Final Takes: The Bulls did not easily beat the 76er's like I thought they would, but a win is a win in the NBA. They have to improve defensively as the season goes on. They have a young team and the offense is already there, but, defense wins championships. Look for Vinny Del Negro to try and get this message across in the near future. I was impressed with Ben Gordon's play off the bench tonight. He came up big with 19 points for the Bulls. They will need him to consistently put up those numbers throughout the season. The Chicago Bulls are now 2-0 as they play their next game at the Milwaukee Bucks.

ITs looking good, but try having the computer offer you trades when you people on the trading block. The computer can easily be abused if you offer them trades. It is more realistic.

Thanks for the advice, but I thought that it was a legitimate trade because what if Dalembert was ready to leave the 76er's, they would try to have a pretty even value replace him in return. They also got help up front in the paint with Drew Gooden. So I think it was pretty even, it's not like a blockbuster or anything like trading Hinrich or Gordon or bringing in a big name player like Yao Ming or anything unrealistic like that. But thanks for following and the advice!
*I will post my third game soon.

Bill Walton's Game Preview: The Bulls are coming off a hot start, winning their first two games. But they have not likely faced a team that will contend and make the playoffs this season. The Bucks could be the first team they play that will probably make the playoffs this year. They are lead by their sharpshooter Michael Redd and the very talented point guard, Maurice Williams. I look for the spark of Ben Gordon off the bench to help push the Bulls to the victory. Look to see if the Bucks can get Yi Jianlin involved in the game early to get as much productivity out of him.

Bill Walton's Final Takes: The Bulls won a close game tonight. Kirk Hinrich really stepped up, like I thought he would. He was impressive on both ends of the court tonight. Michael Redd played extremely well as well, but, Hinrich and the Bulls left with the win. This was an exciting game from start to finish and it showed what true NBA basketball is all about: team basketball.

Greg Anthony's Final Say: The Clippers won tonight and gave the Bulls their first loss of the season. My man, Tim Legler predicted that Baron Davis would play well and lead the Clippers over the Bulls, and he was right. The Clippers won a close one, but they seemed to out-play the Bulls the entire game. I look for the Bulls to try and rebound with their next game against the Pistons. Greg Anthony's Final Say: The Chicago Bulls blew out the Pistons tonight by 17 points. Derrick Rose played huge for the Bulls. He did not back down from his match-up with Billups, who he has been compared to in the past. The entire Bulls team was involved tonight and 6 players finished with double-figures in points. The Pistons were shut down by the Bull's defense. It seems that it should have been the other way around with the Piston's reputation for defense, but give credit to the Bulls for a great game. Bill Walton's Final Takes: The Bulls won an overtime game tonight against the Lakers. This was, as usual in the Staple's Center, an exciting game. From the start the teams went right at each other and remained even to the final regulation buzzer. The final regulation score was 100-100. The Bulls scored 14 points and overtime, which topped the Laker's 11 points. Kobe Bryant played one heck of a game scoring 8 of his 34 points in overtime. SG: Ben Gordon and GM: John Paxson
Host: Tell me, John how do you like your moves and draft decisions so far in the first 9 games of the season?
Paxson: Well, I think first and foremost the hiring of Coach Del Negro was very important to us. We really like his coaching style and leadership for our organization. He was and is a great fit for the Bulls. The next move was drafting Derrick Rose with the number one overall pick. That was a hard decision but we think we made the right move for the Bulls organization for the future. The trade we made was to really help get some defensive experience in the front-court. We obtained a great group of guys in that trade, that have really helped the team so far.
Host: Ben, how has the season been so far? And do you mind coming off the bench?
Gordon: The season is going very well. We are 6-3, and still learning to play as a team together. I can only see us getting better. I don't mind at all coming off the bench. I know I could easily start, but, I want to do whats best for the team and that is coming off the bench and giving the second unit a spark.
Host: John, what are the plans for the future?
Paxson: The team is playing really well right now at the start of the season. We are where we want to be, above .500, and we look like we are continuing to get better. The team's future is to just continue to grow and mesh as a team everyday to chase a 2008 playoff berth.
Host: Well, thats all the time we have for today thank you for tuning in, so long!

Can I get some feedback on my franchise? Is there anything anyone would like me to add? Thanks!

I suck vs. them. They have Baron Davis, who kills me, and Elton Brand who kills me as well. I always seem to be in a tight game with them but they win in the end. Should I try to trade for Igudala?
