To me, it's an evenly matched game and I can't really choose a winner in this one. I look for a tight game coming down to the final drive.

Thanks to those who joined the league and especiallly to those who made an effort to play thier games weather you had a winning record or not.

Season 2 is UP IN THE AIR. I want to have another season but it's so hard to find people who will play thier games reguarly, especially when losing.

Anyways, this thread is for the finals so discuss...

Might I remind you Amid, Our first game in the league came down to one play....I'm leading 28-27 with under a minute to go, and instead of playing for overtime, you went for the 2pts and thewin and I was fortunate enough to hold you. That game could have went either way. My gameplan this time around is to give you even a bigger dosage of Adrian Peterson...Hopefully it works and I don't fold like a lawn chair like I did in the DL5 Championship against JuicyFruit


So when will you be available to play. I should be on for a game or two tonight after 11pm central time

Actually - I have to throw my vote behind FM. I've played both of these guys recently, and FM has the edge. I'd give him a spread of 7, but I would expect a 10 point margin (no offense to the victim at the other end, of course...)

This is a tough one.

On one hand there's Freak. We've played probably 15 times, and I could right a 5 page scouting report on how to beat him, and his strengths + weakness.

On the other hand, there's TJ. We've only played once, and I really have no idea how he plays.

With that in mind, I gotta go with TJ by 3. Freak just can't win the big one.

What I have noticed though is that offensive minded teams always seem to make it to the dance so I might have to change my ways :(

If Freak's team has more offensive weapons than tjspeaks, then I'll give Freak the win by 28-21. If tjspeaks team just equals Freaks team in offensive power, then I'll give tjspeaks the win 24-21. Their play styles are very alike, and they both will know how to contain one another. It's just a matter of who guesses right more often, and how many lucky break tackles FreakishMind gets since it's the pre-patch settings and he's running with a Gold HB (no idea what team tjspeaks has, so I can't comment on it).

Here's a quick recap of the game

I got ball first and was able to put togather a very long drive and get the TD at the end to take a 7-0 lead....TJSpeaks drives down the field with ease then, but I'm able to stop him on third down and he has to settle for a field goal. I get the ball back and Can't do anything with it, punt and put him at his own 6 yard line with 37 seconds left in the half. He easily goes down the field and gets into field goal position and gets the FG....Score at halftime Freak 7 TJSpeaks 6

3rd QTR He gets ball first and goes 3 and out...I get it back and get into scoring position only to throw an interception around the 5 yard line. He's able to capitalize on the turnover and go 80 yards for a TD, he then proceeds to go for the 2pt conversion and get that also...Score at end of 3rd qtr TJSpeaks 14 Freak 7

4th qtr, After I go three and out again he gets the ball back, Tj is able to drive the ball down to the 11 yard line and has to settle for the field goal....TJ 17-7 I get the ball back with just over 4 minutes left in the game, my first 3 pass plays all get defended, Now I have a critical call to make...4 minutes left, down by 10, I decide it's do or die time...I go for it at my own 20 yard line...I find Ben Coates over the middle to keep the drive alive. 4 plays later I find Laveli for an 11 yard Touch down....TJ 17 Freak 14...
Another critical point, I decide to onside kick the ball with 3 minutes left and I'm unable to recover the football. TJ gets one first down, but then I start using my time outs...I get him to a 3rd and 7 situation at my own 19 yard line with 1 min 55 seconds left and 1 timeout for me. TJ goes for Coates on a corner/out pattern, but Brookshier steps in front of the ball and picks it off....4 plays later I get a 70 yard Touchdown catch by Maynard to take a 21-17 lead....One last chance for TJ with 33 seconds left, first play he Throws a 60 yard prayer up for Jerry Rice, but Marlbrough is there for the interception....Game over

I figured the guy that was more heavily tilted offensive would have the edge. That's usually the case whenever the player's skill / play styles are close to the same.

The play by play on the MoC site helps me remember what was happening when....but the key plays on 3rd and 4th downs, those are easy to remember....

i think a 3 ability gold NFL CAP league with NFL uniform codes and accurate name, ht and wt would have interest. you should be able to get 8-12 players that want to play with their favorite NLF team. you can view league sites to see who plays their games and who doesn't.
