Yo, should i get this game

I've been trying to decide between ncaa 09 and this game. The thing that kills it for me in ncaa is the sideline animations. I know its a small detail, but I can't stand the way EA implements it. The whole atmosphere just seems dead on EA games. I know its an improvement from ncaa 08, but its still light years behind what I am seeing in the videos of apf 2k8. To me crowd reactions, sideline interactions adds so much to a game experience. I wanna breathe life into apf 2k8. I think this game is buried treasure. What do you guys think of the game after a year of playing it.

I'm not sure about how NCAA is but this games sideline is pretty decent. I've been run out of bounds before and into players there that react and all. Also one time I caught a ball and was running it in for a TD next to my opponents sideline and I saw one player who had taken a knee and he was hitting the ground cause he was mad I was getting a TD.

i think that you are not what you pretend to be. I think that i'm frustrated at work because I want to play some APF2k8. I think that a debate about a game that has been out for 1 YEAR vs a new release of game... is not a debate. I think if you wanted this game, you would've had it by now... a year later, now it just slapped you in the face and you want it. Whatever. This post just seems suspect.

dude, I just got an xbox like 2 weeks ago. before I was more of a pc gamer.

I agree. The EA animations are digitized, and lack fluidity. Many times you can see small blinks as they transition from one animation to another. This occasionally happens in APF2K8, but not as often, and it's usually not as noticeable. The worst part is the game play though. You can't throw on an out, or trust that a whole in the zone will be open due to the zone-warp ability of the AI. Madden makes me feel like I'm playing an arcade game, where APF2K8 makes me feel like I'm playing a Football Simulation.

Why do you have to pick one? You could probably get this game for 5 bucks.

Just go by NCAA 08 and save yourself some money. I guarentee it the same game as 09 with the exception of the rosters. This game is super cheap so I would recommend it.

You basically just answered your own question. We are still playing this game after a year. So it has to be good. Plus you can pick it up for like 10 bucks at gamestop just get both games.
