Ryan Leaf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
J/K! In my opinion I would have to say Jerry Rice is the greatest to step on the field.

It is hard to narrow this category down to one person when there have so many greats at many different positions. Jerry Rice definitely played for longer and better than anyone at his position.
I guess the greatest player of all time would have to be the player that made the biggest impact for his team while playing.........
Anyways my favorite player of all time is Darrell Green.

I would have to say Barry Sanders. I don't believe any other player has had such an impact on his team. QBs have to have at least decent receivers to hold on to the ball and get open. I can see how Rice would be in contention, but the guy have Young and Montana throwing to him. Put him on a team with an average QB and he'd never have shown how great he can be.
Barry Sanders was surrounded by NOTHING. He was that team.
Put Sanders on a team with a pretty good offense besides him and he wouldn't have had the same stats, because they wouldn't have to rely him alone, but he would have a Super Bowl ring.

I'm not too sure about this. Barry Sanders didnt exactly play on some chopped liver offenses.
The thing about Barry Sanders that always bothered me was this: If I absolutely, positively had to convert a game deciding short yardage play of any type..there are at least a half dozen backs I could think of that I'd rather give the ball to.
A typical Barry series would be: 2yds, -2, 5 yds, -4, -2, 60 yd TD

I don't believe in this title because the game changes with just about every era.
I just consider them all good players.
But I have to say reading this below is too funny.
"I can see how Rice would be in contention, but the guy have Young and Montana throwing to him. "

What's funny about that? Jesus himself could be going deep but if he's got Kyle Boller throwing to him he's not going to get the ball.
