View Full Version : Why can't stat points be redistibuted freely? Can this issue be patched?

This is a major flaw in the game IMO.

I say this because:

1) it is a very tedious and time-consuming process to max out one character.

2) Since there is no way to know how certain stats affect your player's performance on the court without seeing the results first-hand, deciding which stats to boost and how far to boost them is a complete crap shoot.

3) Trial and error should be a part of the stat-assigning proccess.

So is there any chance that this could be patched so that the stat points can be redistributed at will?

At the very least, I think I speak for the majority of the community when I say that this would do a great deal to even out the different types of players that we see online, because people would no longer be scared to "experiment" and try to make something other than the ubiquitous "max forehand/max backhand/max power" player that is so boring to play against.

Can this issue be patched?

Well, can it?

1.) play your character through the whole carrier without spending skillpoints.
2.) copy your character to a memory card.
3.) spend your skillpoints for your character on the Harddrive.
4.) if you dont like it anymore, copy memorycard to Harddrive and reskill your char as much as u like

So you're saying that it's possible to go all the way through career mode with straight 30s for all your stats? Ha! I'll believe that when I see it.

However, I did find someone saying that there is a workaround for this:

When you first get some exp points, go the Player Area -> Player Evolution
Then put all the points (or however much you want to duplicate) into one attribute and push A.

Then go to the same attribute again, push A, and take back all the points back by pushing 'left' on the d-pad or left analog stick.

Once you've taken the points away, push B, NOT A. This should cause the attribute to go back to the same number that you had when you put the points in. However, the total exp that you have will increase.

I will test it tonight and see if it solves the issue.

This works for PS3 btw. Don't know about 360

Gain some exp. points in career. Go to career to use them. Select the attribute you want to build with X. Then build it up as high as possible, then X out. Now press X again to go right back into that attribute, take away all the points you just used, but press O to exit this time. You will regain your levels, but will keep your exp. points. Repeat to build your player in about 2 minutes.

I realize this doesn't answer your question, but at least you can experiment with various styles and see their fun effect without playing career over and over. It also helps when your created players are wiped from the memory like mine were.

Yes it is possible, but i have played the whole carrier on very easy to fasten it up a bit.

But the glitch u mentioned sounds a bit faster ;)
