Will there be an NHL 2K10?

Will there be an NHL 2K10 if Take-Two gets bought out by EA? If there was going to be an NHL 2K10, production would have to start soon. If 2K9 turns out to be a good game, I would love to a 2K10.

My gut tells me no,there will not be a 2K10.I think EA has too much money and power and will get what they want.As a gamer though,my heart is hoping it sees the light of day.Despite the pesimism of the early showing of 2K9,I do believe,given the time,VC will turn this series around.Besides,the more hockey games,the better.

I don't get how if 2k games have always been better, whether its baseball, basketball, and football how 2k doesnt make the most money.

2k10 and 2k11 will made by 2k Visual Concepts (if EA buy 2k studio VC will still here ) .

Flawed, it's all about marketing. EA markets their games so well, that they basically hypnotize people into buying the game. 2K's marketing is nearly non-existent, which hurts their overall sales. It's something they really need to work on.

joker, if EA buys Take Two, there will be no more 2K sports games, and who knows what will happen to VC. They were once owned and let go by EA, so I doubt they would go back. They would probably shut their doors and go elsewhere first.

I doubt any of us can even make a good guess about what is going to happen next. I had some fairly knowledgeable industry types tell me in January that 2K had already been sold to EA and that proved to be untrue. With the economy the way it is, anything could happen. If many more NHL types decide to go to the Russian League, maybe somebody will come up with a game from Europe or Russia, the 1970s, the 1980s, Mars or whatever. For now, let's hope SOMEBODY makes a good game for 2009.
