2K9 Demo Date?

A friend of mine told me last night he was watching G4 Tech Tv and he read that a demo will be availble for download on the 360 on August 7.

Can anybody confirm this?

I can't confirm it yet. I'll ask Ronnie about it to see if he can find out. Only thing I was was from a few reporters at E3 that it would be out in a few weeks. Any date you hear, for now, is just speculation. The only date we know for sure is the release date.

I wish they would release the game earlier, but I guess we're all going to have to wait. I hope the demo comes out. I want confirmation on that also.

My guess is that there will be a demo in early Aug because 2K knows it has a lot of fence-mending to do. A lot of gamers are skeptical after last year's glitchfest and no roster updates fiascos. The demo will be (or at least should be) 2k's best salesman. I don't know if my source is a good one but I've been told that 2k was working on some interesting changes in the activate goalie mechanism.

personally i am set to get 2k demo or not UNLESS ea's hockey has made the overhaul it has promised and they produce a demo. i think the deciding factor in the 2k 6v6 online versus the ea be a pro online will be which game handles better online. 6v6 will rule UNLESS we get that darned "unable to start game, refer to online faq (which didnt exist)" error rears its head....
