So I just did a 70's style match vs some guy online and basically beat the snot out of him beat him 10-9 for 7 straight rounds. His health hardly ever dropped and it reset to max for every round. Finally after 7 rounds my health bar got so low it just took a couple punches to knock me down.
Is there a patch or something that prevents this? or is playing online just a total waste of time and energy?

You don't understand we had 7 rounds I won in a row, it was Liakovich i think vs Holmes. I realize that your Health pool shrinks but he after me kicking his teeth in every round and winning 7 rounds in a row didn't lose any stamina. Also he barely lost any health at all if any when I hit him with countless combo's.
It reminded me of that fight in story mode where the guy takes some sort of drug and doesn't lose much health at all, with one glaring exception his stamina would resist to full each round so you couldn't wear him down at all.

It wasn't a matter of the guy cheating, what happens is on your screen you see one thing and on his he sees another but his is the one that counts. In order for the game to seem lag free this is what they did. It's unfortunate they went this way though and honestly I really wonder if a patch is even feasible as this is more of a programming/networking philosophy on their part as it is a glitch.

It has nothing to do with Lag, on the score card I beat the guy 10-9 for 7 straight rounds and it was toe to toe fighting the entire time. I hit this guy with likely 7-8 heart punches and that was the only thing that would make his health drop at all.
One round I had his Max health to half of the full bar and it went all the way back to full for the new round.

yeah man....your stamina does go up after the rds are over in Btwn the breaks ...its not suppose to just stay where you brought it down to....even FN does that....
you can wear down your opponents pretty easy if you know you're doing.
but other than that, the only thing i can think of is the hidden lag that everyone seems to talk about.....that seems like the only way that can happen... ypu may think you're landing punches but you arent on his side of screen......it happens from time to time.... but im not sure
if you threw a sig punch that landed on your screen but the energy stayed up it could be of 2 things....
1. you threw it at the wrong time of your health or....
2.your opponent blocked on his screen but it didnt show the block on yours
but keep in mind you can still knock out the fighter with his stamina high....for every punch you throw just look at the yellw bar...it gets darker within the yellow when you land show punch effectiveness....so if you put it 2gether good enough you can stil pull off a KD...with the stamina high.....
and depending on the fighter and how low you had his actual stamina, his attributes will determine how much stamina he gets back.....but it all depends....
