Although Dela Hoya is bigger than Pacquiao, he is too old and slow to beat the younger, fast and power punching Pacman... I want this fight!!!

cmon guys, use your heads. DLH wins this in a blowout by KO in the 4th round.
Pac is too small. If you wanna say that pac wins because you are phillipino, that'sone thing. But to say you really think he is gonna win, uh, no.
Use your brains fellas.

I bet this fight does happen. I think Delahoya will destroy Manny. This will be Manny's first time facing someone naturally bigger than himself. Lets see how well Manny fights going backwards. Oscar is way to big for Manny.

Oscar will be too much for Pacman. I like both of these fighters a lot, but I hate when fights like this get made. I don't like seeing fighters jump in weight classes. I know, I know, but reppa, a lot of great fights have been made with fighters going up or down in different weight classes. True, but I can't help but think of what fights could have been made if certain fighters stayed where they were at or moved up within reason. I understand that fighters have to go up in weight sometimes, but jumping all over the place is just a little much imo.
Anyway back on topic. Sorry about the little rant, but just something I wanted to add. So Oscar should pretty much stop Pac no later than 6 rounds. His jab alone is probably going to do some damage to Pac. Guess we will see what happens.
Of course all this is my opinion and should not be confused by being fact. Coincidental, maybe. lol.

This fight is ridiculous, theres only ONE guy Oscar De La Hoya, the guy who supposedly NEVER back down from a challenge, should fight...and that man is called Antonio Margarito, but he won't because he knows Margarito will wipe the canvas with him, so instead he's choosing to fight a guy that's only just fought at 135, its just ridiculous, you could hide 5 Manny's behind Oscar. Prediction: Oscar KO's Manny before the bell for the
8th round starts.

Oscar is taking this fight this fight for three reasons
1) Manny is the new p4p champ, and has a large fanbase
2)Oscar used to dominate the weight classes Manny has dominated recently
3) His former trainer said Manny could kayo Oscar. If that didnt inspire and get to Oscar, I dont know what could.
While I agree a fight with Margo is the right decision, Oscar is boiling over what Roach said, and is in the mindstate that he was in leading up to the Mayorga fight. He is taking this fight because Roach made it personal. I dont blame him, and Roach is very smart in his remarks, because he knew(as a former friend/trainer) how to get under Oscars skin, and basically force him to take this fight. Oscar is a man of pride, and will not be cast away by someone who was once very close to him, and not try to prove him wrong. On a sidenote Maro and Oscar shouldve faught years ago if it was goin to happen, now its too late. Oscar did DUCK one man, and his name was Ronald "Winky" Wright. I hope Oscar destroys Manny and slaps Roach silly.

Margarito will fight Clottey again, I'm sure of that, but he's already beaten him anyway, and before anyone says "oh Clottey broke his hand" bla bla bla, I've heard that Margarito broke his hand in the fight also, but that didn't stop him from throwing punches. Margarito will fight, and beat, Clottey again.

Almost every opponent that Mike Tyson faced was bigger and heavier than him. Yet he dominated for years. Taller and bigger don't guarantee anyone a win in any sport.
To say that Oscar wins this by landslide is ridiculous. This fight probably won't happen anyway since De La Hoya is about to retire, he is past his prime and the last thing he wants is to be embarassed by someone much smaller than him.

I dont think ODLH got much of an advantage against Pacquiao, should be one interesting fight seeing Pacquiao actually having to rely on pure boxing skills. Oh, and I seriously dont think that Freddie Roach is gonna let Pacquiao fight ODLH if it was an impossible task. I believe Pacquiao can do it.
Or maybe its just my PINOY BLOOD.

Yahoo! Sports' Kevin Iole pretty much sums my thoughts up in this article:
http://sports.yahoo.com/box/news;_ylt=AiVNXAWOU4xYlVMtXmkEBpuUxLYF?slug=ki-oscarpac086008&prov=yhoo&type=lgns
Article highlights:
[De La Hoya] says that Kelly Pavlik, who fights one division above him, is too big [to fight], wants to fight a guy who was fighting at 120 pounds in 2002 when De La Hoya moved up to the super welterweight division.
[De La Hoya]'s trainer, Floyd Mayweather Sr., wasn’t too eager to criticize his meal ticket, but he did suggest that De La Hoya couldn’t end his career against a man so much smaller.
“If Oscar fights, whenever he fights, I’m there and I’ll be in the corner,” Mayweather Sr. said. “This is how I pay my bills and feed my family. If he wants to fight Pacquiao, I’ll be there. I was going to be there if he fought my son, wasn’t I?
“But if Oscar wants to secure his legacy, I would think he’d have to fight someone like Margarito or Little Floyd (Mayweather) after that.”
Someone has to make De La Hoya realize that a loss to a fighter like Margarito would be far less embarrassing than a win over a guy so much smaller would be.
