hmmm...the puck is shown huge...maybe because it's moving towards the camera. You know, when objects move towards the camera, they do tend to get bigger in appearance.
...stick is curved the wrong way...perhaps from flexing after the shot. It's a still shot, so it's tough to tell what the stick is doing, but it does look like it flexed some after the shot. Plus, the stick is being held at an odd angle, so the perspective on it is skewed some.

flex? are you sure you know anything about hockey... flex wouldn't mean anything..
The STICK <-- has a wrong curve.. which has nothing to do with flex..
And for the puck.. i knew the puck was getting closer to the camera.. and i was thinking that it was a shot not a dump.. which actually, i was wrong..

So, you're saying that a stick can't flex a bit when taking a shot? But, like I said, with the angle the stick is being held, it's tough to tell if it really is curved the wrong way or not.

Have you ever seen one of those optical illusions which you can look at a picture, and depending on which way you look at it, you can see two different images? Thats what Cheechoo's stick looks like.. one way it's curved the wrong way and the game looks like a joke; the other way it's fine. Anyhow, probably not the best marketing tool since it's apparent simple minds see this picture from a negative angle.

When you talk about a picture in a post, you should put it in your post or at least give a link so we can see what you mean.

If you are talking about this picture, the puck is way closer to the screen than the player, so it looks big, but the stick doesn't look curve the wrong way, it just looks like it has almost no curve at all.

no you can tell by the tap.. the tap ends the same way like any other stick.. and in that picture its oposite

Without a different angle it's impossible to tell if the stick is curving forward or backward in the screen. Both would have very similar profiles/silhouettes.

Boys please... this pic is definitely right . There is right handed player and slapshot not backhand or wristshot ! the flex is right + stick is curving to the left = righthandeds player slapshot !

http://www.cznhl.com/galerie/displayimage.php?album=29&pos=14 here is the same in move , the right-handed player .. a wristshot or any slapshot has the same flex.

ummm i think the pic is pretty sweet. the stick is fine. i remember in one of the old ea games (cant remember which one, but on ps2), i THINK it was jeremy roenick who was in the game as a lefty. drove me nuts, but it still was one of my favorite games.

man like i said he flex has nothing to do with it...
backhanded shot and a normal fronthanded shot both have flex... so that cant proof anything

OK do get any hockey stick and try this shot ... After this you send your result ...The Backhand shot has more lower flex than any Slapshot always. You believe me I am a real hockey player.

man dont even say that your a real hockey player.. its a game.. they definitly didnt put more flex in a slapshot than on a backhand shot..
i probably know, 10 times the amount you do about hockey..

Wait... you're saying that the stick flex for a forehand shot is the same as for a backhand shot? You're talking about in the game, right?

Like I said, you still haven't been clear about whether your claim that the flex of a stick is the same forehand and backhand is in reference to a video game, or in reference to real life.

The screen is correct and the OP is completely wrong -- took me exactly 10 seconds to see that the stick is twisted in the player's hands and is being shown from a side angle.
As an intelligent thread, this one receives a FAIL.

I love how the players on the bench are watching the play but the fans are looking away from the play and cheering...at center ice...maybe off camera there was a big hit or a fight?

I don't think any sports game with 3D crowds have attempted to have them follow the action. It's possible that the extra AI may be a memory hog, or it was attempted and just looked out of place (kinda like those old 2D baseball games where all the heads move at the same time).

I'm happy with those screenshots, extremely happy actually. Only thing I don't like so far, is it seems you will not be able to pick goalie skates, Osgood's stick is oging throguh his hand, it is a little thick too, & Luongo's helmet is dark blue.Wii version doesn't even look bad, it's the wii.
