From the 2-3 picture's I've seen with the Canucks, it still shows that their number fonts are the incorrect version (Just like in 2k8)

This just tells me 2K ain't trying.

In 2k8, I'd understand that with the new RBK jersey unveiling thing, so you can "assume" that the new blue-green jersey would have the same font as the stick-in-rink font. But dude you have a frickin' year to look at their jerseys and realize that the font is actually similar to Buffalo's font than their old one.

If you can't beat NHL 09's gameplay, at least beat them in detail (which I thought they did in 2k8 since the goalie animations, hell most of the animations were more life-like than 08)

Well, let's hope those are early screens and they've corrected the numbers by now. I'am still keeping the faith in 2K.

Don't expect anything, its gonna be the same. 2K never listens, only to people who cry about controls being too hard it seems, and then totally ditching the people that like sim, cuz that total stick control was the one great thing about 2K8 that let me get past the glitches without selling it. I remember how they could never get the colour right for the Canucks or Leafs helmets either. Maybe the Canadians workin hard in my home town here will finally return to their former glory of being NHL sim masters. Its weird how i'm still rooting for 2K, but EA really ****ed me off for many years, waiting till Madden got a feature till it got touted as a new feature the next year, then the game turning totally arcade.

Yea... But as someone living in Vancouver, hockey's basically all we ahve (I also like NBA too) so NHL2k games are basically 1/4 of the games ill get for PS3.

I hate EA NHL games for some reason since I think that the goalies are too fake in their animation (no goalie should be able to be in butterfly stance and slide back and force without tearing SOME sort of leg muscle) and I think 2k sports does this very well. I also love some of their animations 2k has, as well as the customization (goalie masks/pads are SOOOO customizable and i luv that).

The ONLY thing I don't like about 2k is the relatively "minor" stuff in aesthetics (like u said, the colors are kinda iffy too). I really hope they can fix it - hell just switch the gawd dang Canuck jersey font with buffalo's, at least that'll be 10x closer to the real font than the blocky-old-school one on it now...

I know what you mean i'm also in Vancouver. I just hope they didn't go and throw the 2k sim physics out the window for more "fun". I would really like to see the proper font too.

Yeah, and did you see the new jersey for the Wings in the 2k9 demo? Their jersey is a bit different than normal in that their captaincy ("C"/"A") letter is on their right shoulder-side instead of the normal left shoulder side that most teams adopt, and their left shoulder-side. I think in the demo it is still on the wrong side just like in 2k8.

Once again a very very simple change can make a lot of aesthetic improvements (eg. changing the font file for canucks jersey, moving the front chest number and captaincy stitching)
