If you're after prizes, stick to the EASHL. That being said, you can pretty much already tell what 09's gonna be like and should know by now whether you'll like it. 2K9 is the wildcard that reviewers and EA fans have already dismissed as crap.

since 2K9 is coming out nearly 2 months before 09... that should make your decision easier.

When 2K gives us answers, then may you get some answers. Considering there is a new development team behind this version (Visual Concepts) and that we have yet to see much of anything, the answers you're looking for can not be provided. If you liked 2K's football and basketball offerings (developed by Visual Concepts), then you may want to check out NHL2K9. That's all I can provide.

sorry... that's just for PS2 I guess. 2K9 on Sept 1... 09 on Oct 28
EA will definitely lose the PS2 crowd this season if those dates hold true.

This thread is silly and pointless.I'm sorry, but NO ONE has played either game and has near enough info to form an informed opinion.Ask this question again around October. That is if you haven't rented both and made the decision yourself. All this is going to turn into is a EA V. 2K thread.

For so much longer?Since maybe 2007/2008. Are you aging in dog years? Anyway Only the demo will provide answers. Also, the screenshots for 2K9 are pretty nice.

No the demo will not provide answers.2K has never been a series that you could rely on the demo for an accurate depiction of the game. It's a game that require hours of slider tweaks to help achieve a more realistic style of gameplay. The game is typically arcade trash out of the box.

I'm pretty sure it's a Dodge Tournament and not a Chevy one. Either way, the grand prize of a car from either company is fairly worthless when you consider that the estimated value of the car is how much you'll spend in repairing the thing during its first year of life.

Are they giving away used cars now? Most new cars have a warranty.
