Will there be online leagues for xbox? or are these only for ps2. if so that is the dumbest thing. Thanks

Online leagues are PS2 only. MS is not releasing their official Xbox Live league support until 2004. The XSN stuff this year is special to MS developed titles.

Why would they only put leagues on for ps2, that is just ridiculous. THat is one reason why I bought an xbox (better online capabilities). THis stuff is soo dumb, we can't even get madden online. PS2 has a stranglehold on the video game industry and it's not even the all-out best system. RIDICULOUS. Why can't sega make leagues for xbox? i don't understand, can someone explain?

this is very simple yet very hard to explain.
It goes something like this(trying to keep it short).
MS releases XSN right. So MS wants to get the most sells of their League Network on Xbox by only allowing their sports titles to have XSN support. Meaning...the only league sports game we will have this year for our xbox will only come from MS Games. You ask Y? Because they want to sell and make money just like anyone one else. Having competition 2k4 series online on xbox with leagues just like their MS/XSN sports game is gonna be really hard for them to sell because more people pick up Sega Sports/EA games then MS/XSN games.
Soooooo they(MS) said that probly next year Sega Sports will be able to have leagues on xbox. If this doesnt happen you can bet this statement from me that i will cancel my Xbox LIVE subscription for the year even if HAlo 2 is finally online. Buy a PS2, Network adapter and just get the Sega Sports games online games cause they have leagues. After MS starts loosing Xbox LIVe subscribers cause of stupid things like this they "MIGHT" change their minds. If they do change their minds then i will gladly buy sell the PS2 back and get the 2k series back on xbox.

hey thanks alot for that. I can see why they did it, but my goodness they need to make some better games then because we can't play the best games and still have the tournament support. THanks again
