i was wondering is there any difference between the tennis rackets as far as performance, they all seem to play the same is there one better than the other, the best one is the yellow yonnex whis is 100 points but it feels the same as the others, is there any one out there who has noticed the difference, my forehand and backhand and power is set at 95, and they all seem the same to me am I miss timing the shots or is it all ********.

No, rackets do not make you hit the ball better and shoes do not make you run faster before you ask. This isn't VIRTUA TENNIS which is an ARCADE game. This is TOP SPIN which is an SIMULATION game.

Dude, you obviously know nothing about tennis. If you think an 107 sq in oversize plays like a 90 sq in mid, you are sadly mistaken. Even the string type and tension determine how much power versus how much control a racket will have. And it actually would have been cool to see this implemented into the game. You know, being a "SIMULATION game" and all.;)

what is the point in having the yonnex racket which is 100 points, they all should be the same points than, if they are all the same. is the very hard level very hard, i'm killing them all in the normal level, is there a huge diffrence in very hard level against federer or nadal etc.

I'm with you grimmbomb.
That would have been a cool feature to add to the racquet selections...being able to select racquets that would give you greater touch/control or racquets that would give you more power. It is definitely something that someone who plays tennis for real would consider if they were to purchase a new racquet.

well in the game there is no difference but if you play tennis there are big differences in racquets. even though all racquets makers have models for all types of play and string set ups, all specialize for different styles of play
in woman's tennis you see a lot of Prince racquets which are more in tune with flat hitters who are not looking for spin as much as depth and pace where not a lot of pro men use them cause there able to naturally hit with depth and pace do to there strength.
Yonix on the other hand, the pro models are used by Men and Woman who can generate power naturally, but they can be a little hard to master at first and are best when there tuned with more of a slicing dicing type of string set up for players who is looking for angles and lines..
i prefer a yonix myself.

I guess I'll be the first to admit that I didn't know that the different types of rackets really made that much of a difference on the court. Like I've said before, I'm no tennis expert by any stretch of the imagination. I like watching it, but I don't understand all the little intricacies of the game.
But yeah, having the different rackets give you different abilities would have been a nice touch. At first I thought the in-game rackets actually made a difference, so I was mildly disappointed to learn that they're all the same.
After I created my first player (a girl), I decided to stick with Wilson rackets. My reasoning was simple - if Federer uses one, they must be good...ha ha. :)

LOL. Many people share your opinion G-Man. Or did at least. Which is why you see so many Wilson K90 frames for sale online.
Candy- I don't see how you use a yonex. I demoed a couple, but they felt so freakin flimsy it drove me nuts. I used a pure drive roddick for a while, but I switched to the head prestige because my arm was literally starting to fall off.....ok, not really. But that was serious pain to go through for a racket that I couldn't keep the ball inside the lines with. Anyway, more flex, better racket for me.:)

you'll mess your arm up for sure if you don't have the right one you just have to find it. anything with a big W on it hurts mine..
ill agree, a Yonex you ether like um or you don't, they don't make room for much middle ground.i like the feel of a Babolat but those things are nothing but a jinx to me..
