Yuriorkis Gamboa is definitely the hottest prospect in boxing, due to his unbelievable handspeed, and destructive power. His next fight is on October 4th, against Marcos Ramirez, who is also unbeaten with a 25-0(16) record. Ramirez has some ring rust, having not been in the ring since May of 2007. Will this be Gamboa's stiffest test to date? I dont think so. Ramirez will not have fought a round in more than a year and a half, which means his timing will probably be off, and that is a major deficit against a speed demon like Gamboa. I expect an earlier ko(round 3-4) for Gamboa in this fight as well.

Nice to see Gamboa is staying busy. He might blow right through this guy, but imo he's still stepping up. Hopefully this goes a few rounds and we can see if his defense has improved any.
