Uniform Codes

I'm been playing around with this without much success. I notice some of the codes have a dash - I don't see a dash on my input display when accessing uniform code change screen. Also missing are alot of the characters. Has anyone else seen this?

Last question, to change the code, the only way I can do this is to delete all the characters - is there a way to get the cursor up to the code so I can possible change one character?

There is no dash so just ignore that. It is all one line. Some letter show up when you use the CAPS button. Using your analog stick I believe you can move left and right without erasing anything.
