This is a spin off the "How to beat the Legends - on legend difficulty"
Ok. I've played a bunch of games specifically the team Legends at Legend level.
What I find is the same as on All-Pro level. Coin Toss.
The cpu winning the coin toss seems to make the game more competitive.
Keep in mind I'm playing a very restrictive game based on all of the so-called sim rules.
But on this level coverage becomes a little more unrealistic because the cpu will run routes ahead of your player despite variety. PA, PA-RO is almost a waste of time because the cpu gets through your line much easier, doesn't go for it no matter how many runs, and by the time the animation finishes your rollout someone will probably sack you. Probably. Cpu Elway will make perfects passes even off big hits so don't be fooled, where as your QB will either go down or throw a duck.
Sanders turns into a power runner. No joke.
So... my challenge is for you to play the cpu in the same fashion and see how it goes.
Rules
- Play 2 games for comparison. One where you win the toss the other where you lose the toss.
NOTE: Hit rematch and quit if the coin toss is not different and then hit rematch again.
- Play as home team.
- All 4th downs result in FG or Punts unless under 2 minutes in the final drive and you are BEHIND.
- NO HOT ROUTES PERIOD.
- NO MOTION RUNNING.
- ONE Screen per half.
- ONE OUT pattern per half.
- NO Onside Kicks unless you are behind and in the 4th quarter.
- NO MANUAL POSITIONING OF PLAYERS ON DEFENSE. ALL ADJUSTMENTS MUST COME THROUGH THE GROUP COMMANDS SUCH AS LINEBACKERS AND DEFENSIVE BACKS or AUDIBLES.
- ALL MOTIONS MUST BE COMPLETED. No dancing. If you put someone in motion they must complete it.
- NO QB SNEAKS
- NO Huddles are not allowed unless under 2 minutes or behind by 2+ scores in final quarter.
- No Quick Hikes.
- No passing while player in motion.
Enjoy the game.
NOTE: If you are playing good defense don't be surprised if Legends start no-huddling even on first possession if it wins the toss.
They are not unbeatable, but the patterns have been pretty consistent.
It likes to score first.
Watch for penalties for it to fall back on to help it out.
Watch for a fake 4th and 1 attempts. Call your play and open that audible window. I know some say it doesn't work for them, but it has for me. Elway sat under center for 18-20 secs doing his cadence thing.
Also look for double audibles by the cpu if it is struggling.
This to me is a dead give away the game cheats.
Final possession means everything.
