Ive been always told you never mash speed burst behind the line, but are there some runs where you do use speed burst?Like sweeps or stretches?I really need some feedback on this because I mostly use Okoye,Means,Snell or Curt Warner and I have trouble running Tosses,Sweeps and outside runs in general even with the fastest of running backs. Thanks and God Bless

You have to do what is appropriate to how your block is setting up. If there's a safety coming down on you but you have a block a bit behind you, you can always slow down enough so he gets in between you at the safety, wait until he makes the block, and then take off.

If you're doing a sweep, which there's only one sweep play in this game that's worth a **** if you ask me (the near ISO weak sweep), you just have to watch your blocks. People say not to use speed burst behind the line because your linemen are slower and you will run too far ahead of them towards the line, which gives the tackler an angle in which he can run around the defender and tackle you.

One trick I use is to move my TE almost everytime I run. But don't always move him to where you're running to. I use the same 2-3 formations for the most part. Sometimes I move my TE to where the counter is going, then if I do it next time and my opponent adjusts his LBs, I run up the middle. Keep them guessing.

If you're having trouble running don't give up in the 2nd half on running. A lot of times I will average 2-3 yac in the first half, but I just keep plugging away and then in the 2nd half I average 7-8.

You also have to know when to try and get to the outside or when you just have to charge up and fall forward for a few.
