Here is what I am thinking about doing on offense:
Marino
Branch
Harper
Ismail
Gault
Branch
What is the best type of D to run. I was thinking about 1 Gold CB with 1 Silver CB and then two Silver LB's. The one thing that drives me crazy is stopping people from using Coates or Metzalars or Green at the TE position and they catch darn near everything no matter who you put onto them.
Any thoughts?

Green can catch everything? I remember NFLHITMAN intercepting 2 drops passes from him, or was it a dream???
Back to topic
Really hard to stop because they have the ability deep threat.
Alvin Harper makes you mad because he is tall and has acrobatic catch.
Willy Gault and Branch are the fastest bronzes.
I recommend getting
CB: Lester Hayes, Lem Barney, albert lewis/terry McDaniel,
SS: Leroy Butler
FS : Eugene Robinson
ILB/OLB: Generic Pass Coverage
DE/DT: Dexter Manley/ Generic Pass Rush
Rest on offense
You can only slow down his offense, not stop it most of the time.

That team above is his. He is saying who should he get on D to go along with them.

Lott, Butler, Barney, Bethea, Noll, generic pass rush lineman, balanced LBs and CBs and pass coverage safeties. That's a leadership player at each position. Make sure your generics are good. Seals at DT, Supernaw at CB, and Sims/Obrien at LB and you'll be good. Or swap Lott for Woodson and go with a generic FS. Sale is good.

How do you ensure that your generics are good? Aren't they just default players assigned to teams?

All generics are not created equal. Supernaw and Richardson are both generic, balanced CBs. Richardson is basically a traffic cone, while Supernaw is pretty reliable, as much as the bronze CBs for the most part, and I have had him take over games way better than I have ever have a bronze CB do.

Another beast CB is Hubbard, I have him on my team and he covers a little better and deflects balls for me.

For defense Id forget Marino, get a Silver, get Woodson and Nighttrain since both can cover and run support,Joey Browner,Banks and Van Pelt at LB,and prolly Nolan Cromwell at FS(reach tackle for run support).
