I am pretty good at shutting down the run and WR's in this game. The area that I struggle with is stopping pass catching TE's. What is the trick? It doesn't matter if its Coates, Green, or Metzalars. When players have no other options against me they will revert to throwing out routes to these TE's and complete them all day long. Even if I have Barney, or Woodson, or Brown assigned on them with a FS or SS assigned as well, they still complete the darn pass. What gives. Any advise? And yes I do mix up my D from MtM and Zone.

TE outs are the easiest out to stop in the game. Just hot audible the OLB to the flat and it will get broken up most of the time by a legend or generic.

It's not the flat that I am getting killed in, it's the deep fade/corner router that gets me.

For the win. Leroy Butler does well on TEs for me.

My bad you said TE out routes so I was responding to that.

get dave wilcox, if you wanna spend a gold to stop them.

cover 4 and put wilcox man to man on te.

if you learn to anticipate fade or corner route shade your dbs inside or out

Pepper Johnson helps because of quick feet. Yes its hard to stop them because they out jump your LBs.
