Yep, this is what Peter Moore said he was going to do. Focus on online, and you're starting to see it in all EA games. Take Two needs to get on the ball, or they will find themselves playing catch up.

I don't think it would work that well with Football.

No one would ever want to play Linemen/Kicker/Punter.

I would play those position.
If I was linemen I would not block people, just let them through. :D
If I was kicker, I would kick the QB's face, because I am that cool. :cool:
If I was the Punter, I would kick the defenders trying to block my ball. :)

Even though I HATE NBA Live, their innovative thinking about EA 365 is absolutely incredible, and I mean INCREDIBLE. Quite possibly the best creative thinking I've ever heard of in a sports game. If you guys don't know about it check it out.

After reading this I will be buying NHL 09. This sounds so much fun. The only complication seems to be set up meaning it may be a pain to have to organize everyone to get on at the same time.

This would only work for Hockey, basketball, baseball, and soccer.

Football would be too complicated and back in the day I never really liked running routes as a WR.

OHHHH, thats the best part of the game. I would rather play Co-op than just me anytime. Being able to run whatever route i want is the best part. If i had a QB, RB and a WR/TE, that would be too much fun. (if we we're on the same page of course)

I can't see this working, first person football was a disaster from what I recall. 2K must have spent a fortune to include in in 2K5, I don't remember many playing in that fashion. This would likely have a similar point-of-view, I would assume. To me, this has money poorly spent written all over it.

I really hope 2k does this with NBA 2k9. I would love to create a PG and team up with friends to take on other crews. If this is a NBA LIVE only feature... it maybe enough.

However, I will be getting EA NHL game (used or on sale) this season just for that feature.

This would work great on football. I think the hardest thing would be (in 11 on 11 play) when it came time to switch from defense to offense. 5 people would have to be linemen. It would be better if they allowed people to switch at some point during game. :thumbsup:

Linemen positions could still be fun if done right.

Especially on plays where there are pulls/traps/counters/etc.

I'd like to see someone give a football MMO a try.

i personally think it could b fun playing lineman and Impact blocking the DL and to b able to do tht against a real person there wud b youtube vids about tht everywhere
