I've been a fan of this series since the immortal 2k3 game, and a constant advocate of the sim style presented by the 2k series. I've forced my friends to play the series and discover the depth and realism that was once lacking in EA's game. The system is solid, but it hasn't changed from at least 2k5 if not longer. I can deal with that. That's the reason I buy and play the game every year.

So why am I complaining?

Simply put; I will not buy the game this year unless the franchise lock-ups and on-ice freezing antics have been eliminated. Being degraded to exhibition mode is all the more painful after having a taste of franchise, only to be denied by what appears to be the product of lazy testing, or no testing at all. The stat development in franchise needs help in general, but I'm more concerned about actually being able to play through more than one season at a time without the constant fear of "is it going to freeze?"

I would like a concrete answer from one of the developers, stating whether or not this issue has been fixed, or even looked into.
No sidestepping, no "the game has been completely rebuilt, many features are new" or "we can assure you we've been testing the game quite thoroughly" or any lazy, guilty reassurances.
A relevant and objective answer would be most appreciated.

Regardless of what this year is like, thanks 2k for a great series.

Well, one of the hopes with VC handling the development over Kush is that the freezing issues will be solved. VC has a good track record of releasing stable games that don't crash during seasons or franchises, while Kush has become known for their freezing issues. Hopefully, VC will continue its trend by releasing a stable game with no season-destroying freezing issues.

Yeah It better not freeze during the franchise. That would kill this game for me.
