It's insane. :(

A couple of glitchers on earlier, but otherwise - average players with the game booted up and APF loaded is 20. Total people actually playing? 10.

I was in the lobby for like 30 minutes yesterday.

I finally got a game and got a network drop. :thumbsdow

It's time to play Madden, I guess....

I love APF2K8, but it's kind of hard to keep investing your time into a game that may, or may not, live on. If 2K Sports wants to keep our interest, they need to put a carrot out there... something.... anything.

ITs been a year now. Madden came out and has made a pretty decent game. Thats pretty much it.

Why is it hard? If your still having fun what else matters what's the point in playing a game that's not fun to you but has a new installment announced?

27,000 post on one board and 3,700 means too much time or 27,000 is a typo.

Why is it hard? This is what we are asking from 2ksports.
An annual almost guaranteed game was not that big of a deal, but now that it is not an annual release you need to do something to maintain that connection.

The people on this board have been pretty loyal despite some of the complaints.
They've been here. But we don't want to become like madden fans where a company can just shove anything at us and expect us to take it in like a hungry mutt.

So lets turn this question to 2k.
Why is it hard to...

Provide simple feedback to help maintain the interest of their loyal group?
They have a website and don't utilize it like they should to provide information.
Most of it is late and it is their product. People get information from other sites about the game before they get it from here. Now tell me something isn't wrong with that?

A simple status indicator of the game would be fine.
- Design, Development, Testing, Release

As I mentioned in another thread a text only thread that allow gamers to input their idea of upgrades. Restrict the amount of text and text only and you get gamer participation.
They have these tournaments. Well, after the game immediate release why not have a vote on the upgrades credited to players as to which one is the most significant or something.

I put together a list of questions from the community regarding APF2K8 that was never answered. From as far back as March I believe. I was told in May that they could not be answered because the people who worked on the game were engaged on other products and could not be bothered.

I don't think we are going to get answers to APF2K8 until there is another game in the works, which doesn't seem to be the case at the moment.
