The name “Paul Williams” is now being considered as an opponent for Oscar De La Hoya’s grand finale Dec. 6.
funny...DLH turned down Tito because he doesn't want to move up to 160, turned down Hatton because Hatton was too small at 140...but he wants Pacman from 135.
well not necessarily turned down Tito...Tito never made an offer...he just said he didn't want to fight at 160.
To be honest I wouldnt want to see that match with Tito being that it should have happend 6 years ago. The same with Jones vs Calzaghe.
Other then that I don't want to see DLH beat up a small prime Pacman for money. Oscar has enough money, Pacman is in his prime right now and has more big fight's ahead of him. He don't need Oscar, Fighting Margarito or Williams would be a good for him.

I hope you are not saying Pacquiao should be fighting Margarito or Williams...that would be total annihilation  I say he shouldn't go no further than 140 weight class.

^ Oh no...I was speaking of DLH fighting Margarito or Williams. I wouldnt dare want to see Pacman against any of them.
However I think a fight with Ricky Hatton would be huge for Pacman.

I think if Oscar wants the biggest payday possible, he sould fight Margarito. That would be a huge fight for the general boxing public, and especially in their enormous Mexican fanbase. Pac vs Hatton sounds good to me as well.

Pac vs Hatton sounds good to me as well. A fight with Margarito is not gonna be up their in turns of money which is a reason why he wanted Pacquia. Thats the fight that would get him tons of money and surprisingly thats the fight most boxing fans want to see Oscar fight.

Most of Manny's fans reside in the Phillipines, which is a third world/poor country. I think Margo has got to be more af a draw in the U.S. Who wouldnt rather watch two mexican warriors go at it, than Oscar vs a midget? No way can Manny apply enough pressure to hurt, let alone back Delahoya up. Fight Margo if you want to go out with some dignity Oscar, you wont get any praise for beating up a much smaller opponent.

Manny is the bigger pay check. But when they fight I want Manny to win...would only add to his legacy :D even though he may not have a chance...but who knows he most likely hits harder than Flody and might hurt Oscar if he can reach him.

I'm a big Manny and Oscar fan so I am interested to see the fight, but I'd be lying if I said that I'm completely excited about it. To me, DLH may be too big for Manny. Pac-man is a warrior and he'll fight tooth and nail to win, but I don't see Manny's power carrying and he may even be a little slower because of the extra weight. All of this plays into DLH winning this fight, possibly by K.O. Manny has been stopped before and he's never faced anyone as big as Oscar. To me, I would have rather seen Oscar fight Paul Williams or Margarito. But they are thinking box office potential, so I do agree that this is probably one of the biggest fights that can be made. I think it's a great fight for Manny, simply because I feel he's in a no lose situation. He loses, he lost to a bigger guy. Too much weight, etc. He wins, and that solidifies him as one of the best pound for pound fighters ever. Oscar, on the other hand, wins and it's simply looked at like he beat a smaller guy.
