Roster update

Just doing a quick search I couldn't find a thread similar to this, and it probably has been answered in a particular thread somewhere so if it has been, please direct me there.

When would our first 2k9 roster update (preseason or closer to the reg season) be coming out?

There is already one up for download an my guess you won't see another until after the NHL season starts as rookies have to play at least 1 official game before then can be put into games.

so guys like stamkos will be put in the first week or two of the season I guess. It's better for me to just create him for the time being.

I did all of the roster updates by hand yesterday. It was quite a time-consuming process, since in the PS2 version, which I own, off-season moves are simply not reflected at all in the game's default rosters.
