After a year of playing and constantly tweaking this game for me and my boys who play the association mode, I will finally share these great sliders with you guys.
(((((((((((((((WARNING((((((((
THESE SLIDERS ARE FOR people that know you have to be active on defense you cant play on ball all the time and expect to be effective on d fense. That being said you have all the tools to stop the cpu but you should never feel like you are cheating the cpu.
In fact you should not think about what the cpu does but think about what style that team plays and anticipate accordingly.
If you throw stupid passes they will be knocked down good passers and bad passers are really brought out with these sliders.

THESE ARE ASSOCIATION PROGRESSIVE FATIGUE SLIDERS. In other words your quick games wont be as real as you would like but not bad in my opinion.
Also if you play on ball dfense all the time you prob wont get realistic fouls due to fouling is realiant on if your man is getting beat and the help defense is MOVING TO try and block the shot. If you play off ball all the time you MIGHT Get realistic fouls. But this game does not model many off ball fouls and so you cannot expect perfect fouls every game.
THAT BEGING SAID I have had games where i was foulded 30 times and other games where it was around 10. SO IT REALLLY MATTERS ON IF THE TEAM YOU ARE PLAYING IS FATIGUED AND SO FORTH DO NOT forget that alot of your association performance is based on

IN quick games all your guys are at full energy so fatigue is not so much a problem allowing your guys to hit alot of shots that normally wouldnt go. Which is in effect realistic to a degree.
SO Play your guys as many minutes as you want just keep in mind the chance of injury and the fact that you have to play another game soon so keeping your starters in the full time with a 20 point lead may not be so smart..... I leave it to you my fellow virtual coaches.
COACING IS ESSENSTIAL to wining you have to constanty be changing you def pressure to match the perssonel on the floor for the opposing team and whats going on within the flow of the game DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE HOW IMPORTANT THOSE ARE.. no offense to benzino but this was one problem i had with alot of his sliders was that they took that very crucial component of the game out with some things being set to 0.
THE NBA IS a tough league no such thing as an automatic win as its a long season for these guys and people get tired.

USER VS USER ASSociation guys THESE SLIDERS are whole lot of fun thats all im gonna say they will force just about anybody to play a sim style cuz if they dont they will lose IF YOU are playing smart ball and adjust ing your sliders to the game situation.

10 minutes at 43 fatigue or 6 minutes at 58 fatigue(I got my boys to play longer minutes as the sliders improved and you can actually have a real flow to the game with longer minutes)
Association SETTINGS: Sim quartes at 12 if your playing 10 mins or 6 if your playing 6

Shooting: Close Shot Success: 40 ## if you catch the ball inside and go straight it will be hard to score as your not forcing the other guys to have to guess your timing check to see who is in front of you if yoru stronger then they are if your taller and then make your decision IT REALLY DOES MATTER GOING INSIDE TO SCORE IN THE NBA IS H ARDER THEN GETTING A GOOD LooK AT A JUMPER ecspecially against teams with good big men. THIS IS a mans league""""

Dunks In Traffic: 60 ## TIED TO DUNKING AND FATIGUE AND DUNK SUCCES### 'Yes it still realistic 99 percent of the time## only the elites will do some crazy dunks with this setting trust me and it also give the regular guys a chance to crank on somebody it is not unrealistic. JUST TRUST ME. (This one will raise eyebrows i know but dont worry weve got you covered. In the nba guys look to dunk when they get a chance so yes you can crank on somebody. Hoever if you go in looking to crank all the time what will happen is you will be looking stupid as you are stripped blocked and your called for a charge. DO NOT BE PREDICTABLE.)
DEFENSE: Steal Success: 41 ##TIED TO REACHING AND STEALING ATTRIBUTE##
THIS IS SET TO GIVE A GOOD CHANCE TO FOR YOU TO GET ON BALL STEALS AT OPPURTUNe TIMES BUT IF YOU TRY TO GET A STEAL FROM THE WRONG ANGLE OR WITH A GUY THAT CANT STEAL EXPECT A FOUL BUT you can still get lucky sometimes.
Collision Sensitivity: 50 ## if you change this the rest of the sliders are no longer guaranteed to work at all###

Ball Handling:50 ## to those who want to turn this down yes you will stop big guys from driibling in but you will also KILL the elite guard croosovers and shimies. I have seen really awesome driiblling and ankle breaking with this at where it should be also the stealing will take care of a big guy trying to handle it if you see him doing get your nearest best stealer and take the ball when you get a good look at it or he try a crossover## THERE ARE SOME BIG WHO CAN HANDLE THE ROCK WELL. ANYBODY CAN CROSSOVER IT IS NOT A SPECIAL MOVE IN reAL LIFE OR IN THIS GAME.

Commit Fouls:55 "" those of you who want realistic fouls I have tried and tried and tried some more but this is as close as you can get without causing it to be to easy to foul and be like cheese. so anyways i hope you can except the fact that you will be short some fouls most games some games youll be over your average will be short.""" for example the average in the nba for all fouls is around 20 or so you should get 25 to 13 fouls a game sometime more or less. But the best I can do for you is between 8 to 20 although i did have a game with 30 one time but that was just one of those games. NOW this does not mean it will throw off the scores or feild goal attemps your free throw attemps will be slightly lower be because of that you will have a couple of extra feild goal attemps. IT BALANCES OUT. HOWEVER if you have a fast team that can beat teams off the dribble or attack in transition you might get 20 fouls a game however dont expect the cpu to duplicate that.

The purpose of these sliders is too really give you the feeling of a different feel of every game with the fatigue going up and down for the teams you are playing you will have easy games, you will have great close games and you will have games that you JUST SIMPLY CANT WIN thats the way it goes some times your off, your guys are off and the other team is on. THIS IS THE NBA NOTHING IS AUTOMATIC. HAVE FUN.
Well I did it i finally posted these I didnt want to because i wanted to post perfection with perfect realism but as great as game as 2k8 is its not that perfect its not possible and as the release of 2k9 comes closer i figured better later then never. Please give me feedback on these I would love to hear pos or neg just let me know you tried the association sliders.
