Extreme Sims Franchise Leagues for NBA 2K9

If you are a SIM player and you want to join one of the premier leagues in 2K, look no further. Extreme Sims is the lg you may be looking for if you are 100% SIM, willing to dedicate time to finish multiple seasons with each years 2K title, and if you are interested in joining a great group of members that play only SIM style games.

We have many new leagues that we will be incorporating into the Extreme Franchise once 2K9 releases; just to name a few, there will be Real Extreme Season 1 (all real teams, no trades unless they happen in the NBA), Extreme JV (league that will consist of teams constructed with players that are rated 79 and below), and we have our D Lg which is where any gamer that wants to join the Extreme Franchise has to begin their quest.

We have finished every season that we have started and plan on continuing the success into this years 2K9 title. Our league motto for the Extreme Franchise is "So Extreme...It's better to SIM than WIN!!!" meaning that we pride ourselves in delivering a SIM game play experience every game whether we win or lose, no lobby/cheese play is allowed at all.

We also have various staff positions with every member helping out in some way with things such as league articles, graphics, in game pictures of Rookie of the week winners, player of the week winners, top 6th man of the week, etc... We have so much content involved in our leagues you never get tired of reading the articles or communicating with the mature group of members we have and hope to continue to recruit as things move forward with upcoming 2K titles.

Croz we definitely will be doing a draft league, it will be called EXDL III, as all our new members must start in the D lg, but can move up to the real leagues very quickly. Glad you are interested, have enjoyed many SIM games with you in the past. I'll add you to the list.

Everyone that has posted is currently on a waiting list. We will fill the D lg (which is where all new members to Extreme Lg's must start) from this waiting list. We will provide a list of members that will make up the D lg 2-3 weeks before the start of the season.

Season 3 of the D lg is tentatively scheduled to begin 3 weeks from the release date of 2K9; so that everyone can become accustomed to the game and its new features.

Yeah I agree with you, there are a lot of leagues out there that are not legit SIM lgs. I can assure you though that in Extreme Lgs, SIM is the only option, nothing else. The league motto basically speaks for itself and we do not tolerate any form of exploiting a games weakness.

Our D lg is a draft league so it will not have Real Team rosters, but we do have a Real Team lg that you can eventually work your way up to, if you have what it takes to be Extremely Sim.

You're pretty high up on the list. See if some of the guys in Extreme Sims or the D Lg will give you some positive recommendations, so that you can move up quicker. You should have a shot at making the D LG for Season 3 (which will be the first season for the D Lg with 2K9).

To be honest with you the list will be very long, but you can move up quickly by good recommendations from current owners. We have over 60+ members now between Extreme Sims and the D Lg, and should expand that to over 100 strong members once Real Extreme and JV LG make their appearance in 2K9. Don't miss out, it will be great.

Thanks for the support Kememsi! Kememsi is one of our Extreme SIMS members and pretty much summed up what Extreme SIMS is all about. If you are looking for the premiere SIM Lg to start your 2K9 experience with, then Extreme SIMS is your choice.

wow I am sooo upset this is the first I ahve heard of this league I have been palying 2k since 05 and still haven't finished a lg some people quit some were nothing but
Havardi and Cheddar. Not entirely, but it is a good starting point; we also run games against possible candidates to see if they fit the style of play we incorporate at Extreme SIMS. We understand somebody may not approve or disapprove of an individual, but if majority says that member is legit, all is usually good, or if they say "member won't last", we'll get information why.

The other rule that I think actually makes the game a little un-sim is the one that states fast-breaking allowed only after turnovers. I understand that your trying to slow down game and prevent long passes which I agree with but if your opponent jacks a three, has their offensive rebound slider all the way up, and has their shooters follow missed shots as a team you should be running. Like I said, I can play by any rules but will always share my opinions, good and bad.

Yo...let me get a run in the D league or whatever it is. I had a couple of decent leagues over the past year, but too much haggling over what is or isn't sim usually killed it. At this point I don't really care, I just want a league that will finish and repeat. I'll play by whatever rules...I'm in the over 30 club-its not worth arguing over styles of play.

10/01/2008 NEWS RELEASE:

In a major announcement this morning from Extreme Sims headquarters in Milwaukee Extreme Sims Owner/CEO Mike1045 announced the following:

"We are going to be starting our 3rd season of the Extreme Sims D League, shortly after the release of 2K9. Seasons 1 and 2 were a great success and we are all looking forward to the beginning of season 3. The interest in Extreme Sims continues to grow daily and as we rise to the top of the 2k online league world we need an avenue for future owners to be admitted into the league.

This will now be the only way for future owners to get into the Extreme Sims Franchise and we have identified the following qualities for admission:"

1. Solid Sim Play (as indicated by positive end of season reviews)
2. Good Sportsmanship and Maturity (as indicated by their comments on the boards)
3. Willingness to Help (as indicated by doing something for the league)
4. Site Activity (as indicated by posting and voting on polls etc...)


Mike then added,

"People in the new D-League will prove their worthiness to be invited to become EXTREME. Eventually all 30 guys in Extreme Sims will be Outstanding at all four of these qualities. Hopefully the core of us will stay together for a long time."

New owners, read the above list of what we are looking for. If that is not you, then go ahead and drop out. No hard feelings. This is just not the best fit for you. I just want all the info out in the open so no one feels surprised about anything or like they are getting messed over in any way.

We will be very quick to drop members who don't fit what we are looking for. There are about 80 people wanting to get in Extreme right now and I have even turned down about 10 former members that left without a legit reason!

The player reviews will be huge.

At the end of the season you will all be required to send in a private list of your favorite 5 opponents and another list of up to 5 guys that you did not enjoy playing. Making a lot of top 5 lists will move you right into extreme (if of course, you also are solid on the other three qualifications).

Getting named to too many bottom 5 lists will get you booted. We all do this for fun and if the owners don't think that you are fun to have around you must go.

Everyone is very active and respectful, no drama and very helpful. Everyone does there jobs and follows the rules. This league continues to grow and will never die. The two Mikes does a excellent jobs with the leagues and put alot of work into it. You all wont regret signing up. I been in the league since season 4 and i'm loving it and it just gets better each season. There is always something new each day on the site, new articles, stories and post on the threads. I've added all that have requested to be added, to the D LG waiting list. Through the D LG is the only way to make it into Extreme LG's Franchise. Believe me it is not a waste of time either, as the D LG is just as nice as all the Extreme LGS, but it is the ground work of the Franchise we have built.

Also please be patient as we are trying to get all these new lg features and online problems, fixed or solved before we actually start our leagues for 2K9. We are running a test lg called Pre Extreme currently and should have a general idea soon of when we will begin our other 3 lgs.

You're about half way on the list. We make call ups by recommendations from other members that are already in extreme, so if you know anybody that is in now and they put in a good word for you, you may get in quicker as well.

Yo wattup Mike. Just got done reading the intro for your league(s). Love hearing how you got 3 different levels. Love the no trades unless happens in NBA aspect of it. Now thats sim. forget all the trades these other leagues do. Its not SIM to me when you trade off half your squad and keep trading stars every other week. Anyways.. i would love to join. Just started with the XBL account. With the new patch out, im trying to check out my connection since i had some issues before. This would be my first leaguei would be participating. Looking for mature cats who play a SIM game. I even put in my bench when my team is at the point of no hope in the 4th.... or if im up by 20 in the 4th with less than 5 mins or so, the bench will get their garbage time...
