General Information:

Draft Day: Sunday November 2nd @ 4PM PST
Participants: 20-24 (may be bumped up)
Playoff Teams: 8-12 (depends on in-game setup and total # of teams)
Total Games: 82
Required Minimum: 8 Games per week (may change +/- 2)
Duration: 12 weeks
Playoff Series: Best of 7
Flex Schedule: On
Difficulty: Hall Of Fame
Quarter Length: 8min (may be voted upon)
Injuries: Off
Trading: On ((32 game deadline)may be voted upon)
Fantasy Draft: On
Game Sliders: Default (may be voted upon)
League Prize: Official NBA Jersey of choice (approx value $75)

I'll be bumping this thread on a regular basis to give all the PS3 users a chance to participate.

Draft will be in approximately 1 month.

Tryouts will start upon the release of the game.

Still plenty of time to get in, just trying to keep it fresh and on the front page. Any PS3 user feel free to register and signup. This is a SIM style league. No rules have been posted as I will be waiting til the release to test the in-game mechanics and gameplay overall.

Just to let you guys know, I was in this league in Season 2 and Season 3....if you want real competition, this is where to find it. PS3 online is just fine, don't believe the XBOTS around here. If you have a problem on online, it's probably your connection. There are well over 600 people online right now playing NBA 2K8 on PS3...I don't think they would be around if the connection was so bad.

And to the other guy, the league will finish...like Bobby said, this is his 4th time doing this so he knows whats going on. Also, it's not a first come first serve type of league so you don't have to worry about that. It's a good community, and if you pass the try outs, he will offer you the Blue or Red pill...the choice is up to you! LOL, but seriously there are good users in the league, and I've seen community cancers dealt with accordingly! There is no better place to be for leagues...

I'm rather pleased with the online experience overall.

In our league, players with suspect connections are asked to correct the problem or they cannot continue to participate.

A few things contribute to laggy games. Wireless connections tend to be unstable from time to time and can be rather annoying. Incorrect network setups resulting in a NAT 3 or even NAT 2 at times can also hinder the network performance.

I try to get with all players joining the league and help them take steps to insure the highest quality of online gaming if any problems should arise.

i know about that site, iv already joined the league. But i was jus wondering how we will communicate with each other? In my past leagues there was a freewebs site and a site chat where all the members would discuss and schedule their games and trades etc. will this site have a chat too?

I dont have a chatbox but the site will be setup w/ a scheduling and a trade talks section.

This is my personal server and forums, so I am not limited in what I can do. If you feel a chatbox is necessary I'll look into getting one added in, but it hasnt been used in the past and all my leagues still turn out great.

oh ya..i forgot to ask what happens in between the release date of 2k9 and the draft day?..is that a time for us to jus practice and get a feel for the game or are you gonna run some preseason tournament?

I was gonna host a preseason league for tryouts, allows everyone time to buy the game and to practice.

Looking for 2 replacement Players. One team is 2-2, Jazz, the other is 0-3, Nets. This was a fantasy draft league. Both teams should have legit lineups. Feel free to check the league out if interested.

You must be able to play 5-10 games a week. AIM is highly recommended. This is a legit league, so if you think your just gonna cheese your way to Ws, then you will be tossed. We have a full set of rules to offset any in-game abuse.

This is an 09 NBA Sim League. We want players that play a legit style of basketball, not your everyday video game abuser.

Playoffs should be getting underway in about 6 weeks and all teams should still have a chance at a spot.
