In the demo at least(using 44 inch 1080p Widescreen). Unfortunate, because everything else graphically is superb. Is this the case for the retail version and if so is it fixable/patchable?

Yes. Seems like the edges are jagged on the PS3. I have both, and Im referring to the XBOX 360 version specifically. Unfortunately, the PS3 does not have the anti-aliasing capabilities that the 360 has, thus the jaggies.

Yeah what he said. It's only the PS3 that has been experiencing these problems unfortunately...

I tried my xbox on a 42inch hdtv screen, 720p with the components HD av cable, and I saw a LOOOOOt of jaggies

Then I tried with the HDMI cable, 1080i res, and no jaggies

Same here, the court is very blurry and I'm using 42' 1080P Sony Bravia.
I just hope they fix that problem for the PS3 version or else I'm not getting this game for the PS3 since it will come out for PC in which i can download for free.

So 2K to convince me to buy this game you have to fix this problem.

I never said the PS3's lack of anti-aliasing had anything to do with the graphics being blurry.

I don't know, but the graphics didn't look great for me either. I didn't have any jaggies but the players and everything looked low-res from far away. Now I'm doubting paying $60 for it.

I noticed the Celtic logos all over the court are all blurry on the PS3 demo, its not blurry in 2K8. Whats the deal?

I have having some of the same problems as well with the PS3 demo.

I haven't had the chance to try the 360 Demo yet (no xbox live), but I just may have to get that version.

I hope we all ask for a patch that 2k make the crowd from far distance all blur up or even make them 2d cos we dont even see them and make the court clear again.

I have a Hitachi 42" plasma 1080i. Graphics are outstanding. Surprisingly as good as NBA live. Looks like some are identical to live, hmmm makes you wonder?

nba live graphic is not gud. Both game are mediocre during gameplay but 2k has the noch during cutscene.

Lives court graphics are very sharp and the overall display is very clean. 2K9 looks very great except for the aformentioned elements on the court.

Lets all blame this on who ever requested the crowd be upgrade but eventually 2k had to sacrifice something to improve the crowd and they decide the COURT!@!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not paying $60 unless they fix these blurry textures. For the record the blurry/low res players and courts have nothing to do with the TV. It is an in-game problem. :thumbsdow

who cares about a detailed crowd? we want the crowd to get into the game not see who is coming in, should've been make the crowd an actual factor and not make the court a ice rink.

Go to BEST BUY and get the MONSTER HMDI cable. It cost a lot but its worth it. Those lines and jagged edges will go away. I'm using 32inch 720p hdtv Sharp.

On a regular TV the demo looks great but when I hooked it up to my HDTV it looked real ugly to be honest. The colors are kind of dull and grey. I don't use the HDMI cable though. Would you suggest using one?

Yes, 2k9 is blurry!! I put in 2k8 just to compare, and the graphics on 2k8 were much better. What's up with that?

The game is blurry!! Here's my setup:
-PS3 with
-52" Plasma Samsung TV (1080p w/120HZ)
-1080p Monster Cable (1080p, 120Hz, 12Bit color)

...and I'm still getting poor grapchis from this game!! Im dissappointed.
Does anyone know if Live is any different? or better?

My setup

46 inch philips lcd tv
1080i HD with Hd cable for the 360

and somehow im not happy with how they designed the courts....like the floor looks dry or something

I have the game on both PS3 and Xbox 360 and while it does run smoother on 360 I have no issues with the graphics on the PS3. There are no jaggies or blurry logos or anything. Both systems are running in HD at 1080p, I even lowered it to 720p and still no issues graphically.

I'm getting those amazing reflections. The court looks ridiculously real.

Glad I have a 360 and am not encountering any of these jaggie issues.

Jaggies have nothing to do with how expensive HDMI cable you buy.
