In the nba 2k9 demo i hate the new court spacing and default camera angle .. nba 2k8 was waaaaaaaaaayyyyyy better. The game has been ruined. Still better than nba live tho

WHO AGREES???????

haven't got the demo, is there more spacing or less ?

You're kidding right? The spacing is much better. Instead of guys standing 5 feet away from each other, and guards standing around 16 feet from the hoop, they actually sit behind the 3 point line. And when you are trying to post up, people actually get out of the way for you. Spacing is also better when you run pick and rolls (and the defense reacts more intelligently to them as well).

Check out video 20 for a good discussion about it...

As someone who likes to play with teams like the suns and bulls, spacing was my biggest issue last year, players like Ben Gordon and Raja Bell didn't do a very good job of spreading the floor, and i can't remember how many times i took a shot with my foot on the 3 point line. I've played the demo ALOT more than i would care to admit (day off, nothing else to do :\), and i haven't had that problem yet.

i mean by spacing how the camera angle looks really far away unlike nba 2k8

buddy i play basketball and watch every nba game i think nba 2k8 has better camera angle where you can see them up close better .. nba 2k9 has bad default camera angle .. when you see them up close it makes the game look more realistic and more exciting

May I interject for a second? You kind of did ask everyone on the boards your question, and he was simply answering it. So, pretty much, you asked him, not 'nobody'...

Sounds to me like you were saying you hate two separate things-- Court spacing AND the default Camera Angle. A title that said something along the lines of "new camera angle sucks" would have made more sense.

As is now, everyone reads ' New court spacing sucks'. That has nothing to do with a camera angle and everyone thinks you are talking about how the players space themselves out on the court.

And how can a default camera angle 'ruin' a game? When the actual game comes out, you can set it to whatever camera angle you want.

The camera angle in the demo, however, is the one i've been using in every basketball game since Tecmo Basketball on the Nintendo, and it is what i prefer. Zooming in more, as you suggest you prefer allows you to see all the pretty textures and sweat on the players i suppose, but I would much rather be able to see the entire floor and not have anyone hiding off screen.

you dont think having the players a bigger size makes dunks look better instead of seeing the dunk from real far away?

The dunks look fine, everything looks fine to me. Some people care less about the graphics and the way things look and more about how the camera functions to suit gameplay needs. Once you get the full game, you'll be able to zoom in all you'd like, but that's not my preference. I hate stuff like that 'zoom in post' option. I want to see the whole court.

na man but like a camera angle where you can see the whole court and it is zoomed in.. like in nba 2k8

That's right, create space and create a good shot, and this is translated very well in 2K9 this year. No more crazy dunk fest. Pick and roll, screen, ankle break...its all about the play and strategy baby. Take advantage of mismatch, create a screen, drive to the lane, cut to the basket...whatever it takes to win. Now go out there and play and quit whinning. (Or you can go to arcade world and play NBA LIVE 09--your choice)

The computer generated defense is great. Seems like 2k made a more realistic game this year. Even though at times last year it was fun to race around do crazy crossovers and spin moves than dunk ever time down the floor. It just gets old after awhile watching people do it to you and really no way to defend it. I think 2k got it right this year, the full package.

The new camera rocks. You'll always have complainers no matter what you do. Don't change it back

After playing this demo for a bit longer I have changed my mind and I think the camera angle and court spacing is good. Cant wait for this game now
