I don't know about you guys, but in my opinion, it seems like the jump shot is a little to delayed for me. It feels like i' m holding on the x button too long before they perform their shot. What do you guys think?

I agree that it's delayed, but if it wasn't, the shot animations wouldn't look right. I hope there's no difference with online and offline free throws. Last 2k8 was bad about that. You had to release early to hit freethrows in 2K8 online.

Unfortunatly there will be a difference with online and offline everytime!! There is always a bit of a delay on everything online. I agree with the slow shooting, i myself opened a thread on the shooting topic. The problem i have it not just the shot but you cant like pull up on the dribble. You have to stop, set your feet and shoot which really slows it down. When i play with my brother i am afraid to shoot a 3pter with kobe because by the time he sets up and shoots he can get to me and block. It also sucks during clutch time when there is like 1.2 seconds left and you cant get the shoot off on time.

and also, each player has a different kind of shot. some may release it very quickly, some will keep elevating upwards then release the shot. its just a matter of timing but it also greatly depends on the players rating. players like paul pierce and vince carter will keep elevating in their jumpshot then release it at the highest peak of their jump. players like ray allen and shawn marion have a quick release in their jumpshot, they don't elevate as much.

but if your coming from playing EA's live series, then it will be harder to shoot a shot in the beginning but you just need to get used to 2k9, thats all.

shot stick is easier to use for shooting believe it or not. Better rhythm for some reason
