Is there a mode to play the dream team in 2k9 I saw an ad for live 2009 having the dream team as a playable team and will there be a create team option also thanks

No sorry NBA Live only has the USA team because they acquired the FIBA license last year and have the rights to use the international teams and their players. I believe 2k9 has the create-a-team feature though.

The 2004 team was far from an actual Dream Team, let alone a "team".
Anyways, the if the create-a-team feature is still in (some say that it isn't), it would be easy to make the team yourself. Of course you wouldn't have the jerseys however.
