How is the Association mode aka dynasty on 2k9?

Hell, I'm still tryna find answers to that questions. Ppl must don't seem to play that mode that much. That's defeats the purpose of buyin a sports game now days

since u cant play online till the 7th, iv been playing association, and that **** is hard!!!!!!!!! im 0-3....getting blown out every game, and its not just me...my friend is 0-5....this is on superstar difficulty....lmao if i played on hall of fame i prolly wouldnt hit a shot...they call a little too many fouls, and the other team hits too many 3's =/....but then again, like u guys said....association defeats the purpose of sport games....im just killing time with it

dudes its defense!!!!!!!!!! guys, there is no way a person will consistenly hit a lot of threes if you're playing the right defense...the thing i absolutely love about 2k is when a person is wide open..the probability of them hitting doubles!! That's a very realistic thing..but even still you don't hit every three even when you're wide open..A.I has been my favorite player for the longest..and when he gets hot..this can guy off for a million three's in a row..but when he's cold and not hot or even just on his regular game, I'm bringing it in some even when sometimes I'm wide open...

bottom line brothers..defense!!! 2k has nailed the core idealism behind true basketball since 2k6... Ive already turned my 2k8 in...practicing on both demos..and awaiting tuesday!!!

i think the associationmode is the best on nba 2k9 :) i've played the mode more often than an exhibition game ;)
its just ****in' awesome!^^

How is CPU substitution? Is it as bad as last year? I am interested in both types of substitution.

In 2K8, it started out hard too for me. Once I learned how to play the game really good, I went like 2 season of 79-3. You just have to break it down first

i thought that it was way too easy, i could take any team and turn them into champions in under 3 seasons. All of the players progress way too fast and within a few season you could turn a bunch of scrubs into all stars.

I am very interested in player progression too...I just assumed not many people had experienced it yet. Generally, the human teams get dominant and other teams do a terrible job developing players. Would like to know if this is still the case as it effects how I will set up my association when I get the game

Yeah it's defense, you really have to play defense that's what I love about 2k, cause when I see people play, I see a lot of running and gunning, and fast breaking, with no defense and they have high score's, but me being the defensive specialst I am on 2k, they don't have high score's cause I'll take away the fast breaking and cherry picking, forcing them to play defense as well :-)...
