As I play the demo with Kobe I see him going baseline and finishing with dunks he almost never does and it takes away from the game. Pls add this animation, the baseline reverse, its his sig dunk but for some reason it is never in the game...

They have it in 2K8, but its just not how he does it in real life. Plus, it only looks right if you're comin from the baseline

They have the one off 2 feet but not the one off one foot. They should have em both and let them be Kobe's dunk. I saw Wade and Bron doing it last year but it should be more exclusive

I could be wrong about this but i HIGHLY doubt that any animations will actually be added into the game.
Consider these 2 scenarios:
Scenario 1:
2K motion captured a vast amount of animations for the game. As the season goes on, they will bring the players (or just someone who can imitate the player) back into their studios to motion capture more animations that they didnt manage to get into the initial build of the game. (a much more favorable scenario but would require much more work on 2k's part)
Scenario 2:
They have already motion captured all the animations that the game will have as possibilities. Then when they want to "add" a new animation to a specific player, they simply have to change the values that allow the animation to evaluate to TRUE, thus triggering the animation. (Much more likely)
I have no proof of this fact but I am willing to bet that last year when they patched the game and "removed" the 360 layup animation because they felt it wasnt working the way it should, I am almost positive that all they did was change the evaluating expression so that particular animation would never evaluate to TRUE for any of the players. This would mean that the animation would no longer trigger, therefore it would in essence be "removed".
Lets just face the fact that 2k9 will only recieve so much post release support due to the fact they have to begin development on 2k10 now.
Also, if it was truly that easy to add in an animation then why wouldnt everyone have their own animation packages? People complain about shot animations being incorrect. If what you are describing could actually happen then they could fix all the shot animations to be more authentic, as well as the dunk packages.

I think for the most part they'll only be adding signature shots esp to rookies.

I would honestly be suprised if they even go as far as adding rookie signature shots.
Lets hope they prove me wrong....
