The insider has only made 7 posts total on these boards. He hasnt even made a post in his own section of the forums yet.

He came in and announced his arrival and has not been seen nor heard since....

I was told that he would be interacting with the community on the 2k forums. What happened? Does he not have time to leave 1 post in his own section of the forums?

Where you at man?

We got plenty of work for you already.....

Give the man a break. He has a busy napping schedule. And lets not forget, lots of tv to watch. And another job. And a lot of cats to feed. You can't expect him to waste his time working on improving players, or adding players, or talking with people about his plans, or reading suggestions. He is a busy man with a hard job to do. Its not like there are dozens of people willing to work 10 hours a day doing his job for free.

Luckily for you, I don't have any cats.

If everything is great starting the 7th I will be a happy camper. But I would think anyone who lived and breathed this stuff would be posting and setting up websites and such. And why hire someone who did not live and breath this stuff, when there are so many? This is not the type of job where you pick someone because they are a minor celebrity or because they have a B+ average from a local community college. This is a job where you pick someone because they love spending huge amounts of time making rocking player stat lists, and do it well. And those kind of people you usually would have to tie hand and foot to keep them off the message boards.

You are right but they have already released the ratings and, not suprisingly, some of them are already wrong.

So whos job is it to see what the community is talking about and address the issues? Insider, thats who. But he isnt here.

Or would you like me to believe that he is off doing something more important right now?

Im on here just about every day. He hasnt posted a message since his introduction. Like someone above me stated, there are plenty of people willing to do the job for him.

Rashidi is one of them and he's here too....

So i'm guessing that's what he is doing. Again, lets remember, the game isn't even out yet. We can all agree some ratings need tweaks, but lets not start lighting the torches until after the game actually comes out...

One can only hope they're paying for his NBA TV - I'll take game performance over training camp. Unless they're scouting the D-League players for 2010.

He was at training camps of NBA teams. I'm guessing he's watching preseason games now...It's funny how people criticize this guy before the game comes out. If you're saying, "OMG, why doesn't Dirk have 99 three!??@?!?!", why don't you give him that in the edit player option when the game comes out. In the meanwhile, just wait for the insider or just download Rashidi's stuff if all you guys are going to do is complain...Basically, give the poor insider a chance.

You are right. The game isnt out yet. But that still doesnt address the issue that they already released the ratings and some of them were wrong then. Then there is the issue that some people already have the game. When you see problems, address them immediately so you can get it on here before the inevitable crying from simply bitter fans and such clamoring for unnecessary ratings boosts to their favorite players.

Also, It shouldnt matter where he is, its the internet. Its everywhere. Does he not have a labtop? Can he not spare 5 minutes in his busy day of watching players in training camps to come on to his own section in the forums to update us on what he is up to?

Im not actually worried about getting some roster update come release day, I just want to be sure that the insider is on his job. You tell me he is going to training camps because thats what you were told he is doing. But how do you know he isnt just hanging around his house right now? Cause Ron said so?

Here watch this:

"Hey guys, its the Insider here. Im out here at (insert team)'s training camp checkin the players out. They're lookin good and workin hard. Just keeping you guys in the loop."

See that? Its just that easy and then we would know what he is up to. Even then he could be lying but i would be willing to trust him. If he said he was somewhere then i would believe him. The problem is he hasnt said he is anywhere because he hasnt been here.....

ok lets take this part by part.

He was at training camps? Are you sure? Did he contact you? Can i have his number?

Thats right, Im criticizing him before the game comes out because some of the ratings were wrong before the game came out. Why does no one seem to understand this? Also who was crying about someone not having a 99 in something? No one said this. I certainly didnt. I actually speak out against worrying about star ratings right now because there are too many role players who saw no attention at all, as Rashidi can testify. There is a large portion of the league's players who saw no changes whatsoever. Its like they didnt even play last year.

In the meanwhile, just wait for the insider or just download Rashidi's stuff if all you guys are going to do is complain...Basically, give the poor insider a chance.

That is part of the issue. If there is a man employed by 2K to do exactly what Rashidi does, then why is Rashidi beating him to the punch? The man has more tools at his disposal than Rashidi but i gotta download Rashidi's rosters. How about 2K pays Rashidi to travel to the training camps instead? At least then I know id be getting a constant stream of updates on what he has been up to....

Personally I have doubts if the 2k Insider ever visited this site in the first place. It will be interesting to see how this is handled. I know they said he's going to have his own blog, but it would seem to me that he would post here also if not just links.

With how active and detailed Rashidi has been the 2k Insider has a lot to live up to. It would be pretty sad if he was out worked by a passionate fan of the game.

Is it confirmed that the "2k Insider" is only one person?

So basically, it's going to automatically update the default rosters.

What does that mean to roster files where manual edits were made? It mentions created players being unchanged, so does that mean it's going to meddle with custom rosters as well.

Ive grown tired of hearing about what the living rosters are capable of. I would prefer to see some action.

I am not asking for a roster update tomorrow but i would like to know what the man who is tasked with keeping the rosters current and up-to-date, is currently up to at this time

Now I'm not 100% sure, so no one hold my word to it, I'm going based on my past experience and this is what I'm prepared for, if you are in a existing franchise or season, Updates do not partake to those. Much like MLB2k8 downloadable rosters and like Sony's MLB08 sportsconnect weekly updates. You can update rosters but it will not interfere or coexist with your season/fran in progress.

In ways I could already see the future on people asking/questioning/screaming on how is all inputted into ones season or franchise. But inreality just imagine if an update was to screw around or simply destroy what you've been doing for so long. Would only lead to more of a public outrage. Hopefully when the time presents itself the 2Kinsider or someone of his stature can comment along with cetainty within this subforum or thread that's asking for him. Now if there is someway that this can coexist with current seasons/franchises then this post will not only make everyone cheer that read it, it will also catch many offgaurded individual resulting in gaming bliss.

Well, I read the disclaimer in the video about being able to opt-in and out. It mentioned not affecting created players, which seems a bit odd to me. The only thing I can figure is...

Is it because CAPs are getting their own files now, rather than being unique to each roster files? For instance I read that you can download player CAPs on 2K Share. If the CAPs are loaded seperately from the roster file that would be great since that means we wouldn't have to re-create them everytime we make a new roster file (which is problematic when you've got 50 missing players).

Ron said he answered these questions in the living roster sticky but at this time I'm unable to locate them. So if you or anyone comes across them, then please feel free to create a seperated thread about this info.
