Very IMportant question about TEAM sliders for 2k9 yes sir

Hello I am a very active game player on NBA 2k8 and now im looking forward to getting 2k9 I have been playing this franchise since 2k7. I have been wanting to know for the longest time what are team sliders used for. I mean I understand the names of the sliders like help defense, pound ball inside, attack basket, rely on 3pt shot , but how do you balance it all out. Also are all these sliders used in game or are some of them for simulation games. Should you use these sliders to the strengths of your team, or can you just put everything up to 100 and go crazy with the team slider. What I really want to ask is what is the balance to the team sliders so if you put 1 up should you put another down to equal out and if thats the case how do you know the total amount points you have to equal out to. Or should you change this every game depending on who your playing.
