2K Sports Announces NBA® 2K9 for Windows PC

I'm a member of a near dead online NBA Live league that has been destroyed by the terrible quality games EA has been releasing for PC. Is it at all possible to do a direct IP connect game in 2K9 PC or is all Online components removed.

I.E there will obviously be no lobby or matchmaking service like on consoles but is there any Direct IP connect options?

Of course I will buy it. But check this out: In USA you can order the game over internet for less than 20$. In Europe, the same game is 30€ which is about 45$ (more than double). When the game comes to my country, the price is about 45-50€ (more than 75$). And I guess that PS3 version, which is 60$ in USA, in my country will be about 150$. And my average paycheck is about 450-500$. So, if average sallary in USA is, I dunno, 2.000$, would you buy game that cost 800$ ??? But, than, even it will be 3x regular US price here, I will buy it...PC version, of course.

I'd like to request that a PC patch be developed simultaneously with the 360 patch. Since the PC version is a port of the 360 version, the same issues that are in the 360 version, except for the online issues, will appear in the PC version.

No. Most os the issues have to do with online play and game performance. PC version is offline only, and with good specs and mods coming, u won´t have to worry about blurry textures, or freezing in 2k view.

About the gameplay issues, personally I don´t even read complainings about CPU fg% and all that stuff, when the game has sliders to adjust it.

I'm really excited about having NBA2K on PC.
I am a huge fan of NBA Video Games, but since I own a PC have been limited to NBA Live series. One important advantage for NBA Live games has always been the community which has provided a lot of quality mods (Especially retro and current roster patches) that have enhanced the game. This is an important part for me.

My question is: It's absolutely not clear from all the contradicting data I see here: Will there be a support for Living Rosters or any other form of roster update on PC?

Setting the defense to deny the ball or increasing the help defense slider does nothing to stop this. Any player who has an inch on his defender in the paint will get a quick pass and an easy chance at an inside bucket. This was a similar issue last year with the backdoor passes. The tendency sliders do help a bit in this regard as far as shot selection, but there are still too many assists by the cpu. I have been going through the sliders even trying extreme changes does not help.

That's called the minimum requirement. It means that's what it takes to run the lowest settings (something like 800X600 with low details and no AA). To run the game at the 360 level you'll of course need a better computer.

thanks for the response. You're right about the demo part. I am trying to be patient, but it is difficult. I have been an nba live gamer since it began and I actually have never played 2k sports games.

I know it's difficult to wait , the days seems to get longer and longer :p The only 2k b-ball sim that I played was 2k8 on PS2. But Live series , from 2000 - till last year.

yeah, release date is 17th but in preorder you could have this game earlier, for example in game.co.uk they're sending it two days before.

Why would anyone in their right mind get this game on the PC when this is the first time it will be released on the platform without trying it. Please 2kSports and VC release a demo! tommrw or today preferably.

It's not "official", it's a fan made site. Every site has an admin, it doesn't mean they work for the company the site is designed after.
