The Thunder isn't even in the PS2 version. Those with the PS2 version get the Sonics instead which is a total crock of you know what. I picked up my copy this morning and was pretty surprised to see the Sonics instead of the Thunder. That's lazyness right there.

I'm seriously hoping for an online update. If that happens, I'll be perfectly happy with the game. If not, it's heading back to Gamestop as trade bait.

As I've said before, don't reply unless you have something valid to add to the topic. I don't have the extra money to buy an XBox 360 or PS3, so I have to take what I can get.

And besides, the PS2 version shouldn't be released if the game isn't up to par. This one obviously isn't, and it's very unprofessional on 2K's part. They shouldn't even put out an incomplete video game, but they did here.

That still has nothing to do with 2K being lazy. They still put out an incomplete game, and there are no valid excuses for you or anyone to fall back on.

The fact is they made the game for PS2, and they half-assed it. If they wouldn't have made the game for PS2, I would have gotten a different basketball game. 2K should be thankful people still want to buy their games, whether it be PS2, PS3, etc. Things like this, however, does nothing but hurt their reputation.

That's unprofessional to say the least, and that's the main problem I have. If they aren't going to do things the right way, then don't do them at all.

As for upgrading, you can buy me a next-gen sytem if you want. Obviously you are loaded with much more money than I am, or your parents spoil the hell out of you. Either way, good for you, but not all of us have the money to buy a next-gen system at the current time.

lol, naw but for real- I'm not surprised to hear this happened on 2k on ps2. 2k stopped putting effort into their ps2 games back in 2k7. 2k7 was pretty much the same game as 2k6 with a roster update.

But I feel for ya. 2k needs to atleast put out a roster update for u guys. But i have a feeling the Thunders would still be playing in the Sonics arena. I dunno, it may be hard for them to correct this issue. It's not just a simple roster update issue. They gotta put in new uni's, totally diff arena and ****...

Not hardly. I have paid $60 for a few games before, and that doesn't mean a damn thing. Also, get your facts straight. NBA 2K9 for the PS2 was $29.99.

You are right about me being the sucker though. I truly believed 2K could outdo EA Sports after buying the Live series for many years, but I was truly wrong. EA Sports will get all my money in the future because of the lack of attention my complaint received. I at least could have gotten a response from someone important. They won't even email me back for crying out loud.

As I've said before, it's just lazy and unprofessional on 2K's part. It's not hard to see why Take Two is about to fold.

I agree. They are slowly but surely turning into EA starting with 2K9. It's sounds like the next gen version is not even a complete game either with the online play being all messed up.

You guys are really ignorant. The guy asked if there was going to be an online update, and you guys all replied for him to get a PS3. I'm pretty sure he'd have on by now if he could.

It's a shame that the PS2 didn't get any love man, but unfortunately, that's just the way it is when video games step into the next generation. I had a PS2 until July 2007, and I couldn't take it anymore. I had no choice but to upgrade. It's unfortunate, but yeah I doubt you guys will get an online update for it. Sorry.

Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum and I have 1 question regarding NBA 2k9, to be more precise, about OKC Thunder team. I have at home X360 version of the game, but the team from Oklahoma City doesn't have Thunder jerseys or Thunder court. It's just named Oklahoma City OKC team and it has this lame black and white jerseys, which look like warm-up jerseys. Also the court has no logo, it just looks like practice court or something.
Can someone please advise how to get the team's real name, real logo, real jerseys and real court into the game. Do you have to unlock it or something? I'm not sure if there is an update avaliable to correct this, since I don't have Xbox Live! connection. If there is an update, is it possible to get it in some other way than Xbox Live?
