I'm wondering because I've got the game set on the all-star difficulty setting. It seems like the cpu makes a lot of shots even when they are fouled. I just started an Association with the Rockets and in the first game against the Kings Yao came away with 54 points and 21 rebounds. What are you guys getting in terms of stats?

i think its more of a strategical thing..i know its ridiculous for yao to get 54 points but you have to figure out how to stop those kinds of players..use double teams, traps, box and 1, or w.e u need to do to stop him..if not then mess with the sliders a lil bit but dont cheat to make the cpu suck lol..thats all i can think of..unless 2k ***ed up and made the players like gods

I played the Spurs in the playoffs game 5 in San Antonio. I was the Blazers and Brandon Roy had 30 Pts, 11 Ast, 5 Rbd. Greg Oden had 33 Pts, 12 Rbd. I played 8 minute quarters, won 110-105. Tony Parker is crazy though.

I am a franchise fanatic...2k has really disapointed me with its sim engine again....I simmed 8 seasons and had these problems:

-No player ever averaged more then 11rpg per game...one season the league leader avg. only 10
-No rookie ever averaged more than 16ppg
-Greg Oden, Beasley, Bynum, Rose etc never develope into decent players
-The first season I simmed Dwight Howard averaged 12ppg 9.8rpg....Dude could pull that in high school

What I want to know is what is the Sim Engine like in Live...I havent played Live in years but may make the jump if the stats play out right in the dynasty.

Also in Live 09....Does it keep track of individual career stats for each player or does it still only show the stats for the player in their previous season?

Stats, Stats, Stats....can someone let me know?....Thanks a bunch!!...Drew

I am finding it more balanced this year. They trap and double alot earlier than last year. There would be times where I would have like 30 pts in the first half with Lebron and they wouldn't double me (in 2k7). This year it seems like once one player starts to take the game over they start doubling and tring to focus on him. But I have noticed that low post players on every team not just the cavs can easily dominate. Z is good but first couple games i was easily scoring 20 with him. I could have keep giving him the ball but i don't like cheesing. Once lebron went down in the second game of my association (out for 4 weeks, the worest possible thing ever) i had to go more to Z, his scoring went up to the 30's which is a bit out of his range. Maybe once in a while he could but he is constantly not going to happen. If I adjust the sliders down on layups and close up shots then people will start missing chippy shots that should go in. They should fix that just a bit.

Well, I don't know the exact stats but I do know this:
If comepletely open, no computer player rated over 75 will ever miss a 3.
If you foul the computer, they make the shot well over half the time.
In the paint, it is always either a score or a blocked shot.

The SIM Engine is crazy out of touch....Dwight Howard averaging only 11rpg....Dude is good for 15rpg this year and has only pulled less that 11rpg once when he was 18.....The simulated scores avg 115ppg...Rookies never develope...Game is rushed and I hope they patch the Sim Engine

. . .Dont even THINK about leavin the CPU open even for a minute, its automatic. Rebounds are hard to grab and when its in the paint with ANY big man, its automatic buckets! . . .it makes no sense. Gaurds can just run and pull fadeway/leaning to the side 3's!? WHAT!?!?. . .Dont go for a block when they have the lane for a open layup. . .(shaking my head "no"). . .cuz its a foul plus 2!

. . .so yea. my point is, when you have ish like that goin on, OF COURSE the stats are gonna be alittle F***ed ^!!! . . .jus "alittle".

*sigh* (goes back to being spanked by the CPU)
