shooting in the 3 point contest . . .HOW?

when playing the 3 point contest I cannot make 1 basket. I pull down and release at the peak of the jump, I still cannot get one to go in. what is the trick? help please

you can turn on the shooting meter in the options, but even with it on it is very hard to make a shot.

i turned on shooting meter as well, don't really wanna spend time on this, just did my archievement and left

You have to pull straight down on the analog stick when you shoot. If you notice on the shooting meter at the bottom there is a tiny red line that shows if you pulled the stick out of line.

The most I ever made was 12, I'll try with the shot meter and see how I do.

I got it figured out, I got 29 with Ray Allen. All you do is release the right stick when the bar is right next to the line ( shot meter )

Yeah, I can consistently hit 20-25.

Don't push up, just let go of the stick. Use the meter if you need it.

try releasing the shot stick at different fractions of a second on the top of his jump, sometimes even a fraction after the peak of his jump. i made 19 with ray allen by doing this. try creating a player with high 3-pt %age and have a feel of his 3-pt shooting timing. this helped me.
