Well I want to just add I just picked up the Original Amped after 7 years of not playing since Amped 2 came out. While I loved Amped 2, just playing 1 again has made me see A LOT of the simulation experience was eliminated in 2 and its that simulation that really made it feel more realistic to play. Especially the grinding/jibbing part where you have to squeeze the triggers to shift your weight around to balance evenly and by far from easy to do, not just a simple meter that you push side to side. Anybody who doesn't know what I mean, go pick up a copy of Amped : Freestyle snowboarding for 2 bucks and you'll see what I am talking about. The simulator was the best engine for this game and the grinding controls were just the best for a real experience. The main attraction of 2 was online, more rails, ramps and objects but I think the a.la. TH combo system should be taken out and a more limited trick linking system in place.

In 1 you could ride a rail, pop off it in the air to finish with a rotation grab, just more realistic to see than endless 15x combo tricks with an endless manual/butter BUT do keep the STYLE feature that will make the grabs in simulation more technical in nature and of course BACK TO ONLINE play except this time make sponsored competitions against other players like heats in surfing, then quarter finals, semi finals and then the final elimination system.

Like a 1/2 pipe event, jibbing event and a straight up bust your best tricks event and MAYBE go back to the park builder that was in the 3rd. But for the most part this franchise needs to get back to its founding roots of the first to truly be the REAL AMPED experience, but anyone that does not understand what I'm getting at take a look at 1 and you will see its not a TH hybrid and interprets realism of the sport/culture THEN come back to this thread and note the difference between the 2 games:eek:
